L'Originel is a restaurant created by a passionate chef duo. You will find delicate and fresh cuisine, served in an intimate decoration.
We came across this little restaurant by accident and what a lucky accident it was. Small restaurant, lovely ambience, impeccable service, food one of the best meals we have had in France (and we live in France so you know this must have been something very special). Cannot rate this little restaurant highly enough.

Lauza is a new restaurant in Bordeaux offering inventive dishes, mixing French culinary excellence with products and techniques from around the world, in a trendy and casual environment. Based on the Chef Romain Schlumberger's inspiration and seasonal pro
Friendly, helpful server....passionate about wine and food and bubbling over with enthusiasm for both. We both had the tasting menu, two entrees and a main plus dessert. The entrees were very good, especially the celeriac carbonara. Very imaginative use of a vegetable. My main of pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked, not overdone at all, still juicy. The other entree, fish, was equally well prepared. Unfussy presentation. Roasted figs for dessert. A very nice wine, a bargain! Lovely evening in all but just short of perfection. Not sure if weâll go back.

So, letâs just say, a wonderful restaurant, in all respects. Husband and wife team, both artists, both in love with food, and who love to share their passion. We are the lucky recipients. Only âsurpriseâ menus, perfectly orchestrated to show case seasonal ingredients. Imaginative plating. Small, carefully selected wine list. Every wine has a story. Weâve had several dinners here, from the days they first opened, to now. Each one memorable. The chef continues to grow. We didnât think he could get any better...but he has! His wife, is an amazing combination of efficiency, charm and knowledge. More than a restaurant...an event! ,,

I showed up here very excited to try the crepes, and they told me it would be 15 minutes before they could even talk to me even though there were plenty of open tables. So I sat down, and waited. He came to me 15 minutes later, and I asked him if he could make a change to one of the crapes since I am vegetarian, and he said they donât do any changes. So I left. Never got to try the crepe, but first impressions mean everything to me as a patron. Cordialement.

The menu is the chefâs surprise so no stress in choosing! (hint: if you suffer from multiple food fads and âintolerancesâ respect the menu and eat elsewhere). The 5 courses were all excellent and inventive with beautiful presentation. The staff were very professional and multilingual. Note to Brits: in France bread goes on the table, live with it. The wine list is somewhat behind the standard of the cooking with an adequate but not wide choice. Great place and a modern concept of limited choice but excellent food. The chefs chats at the end which I like very much!

This is an adorable café where the food and drinks are excellent. A bit expensive maybe, but it is lovely situated and some literary or arty events taking place here sometimes.

Livré chez vous, sur place ou a emporter... La Casa Ferretti c'est où vous voulez, quand vous voulez.
We loved having dinner here. The waiter, who I think was also the owner, made us feel welcome and provided excellent service. The food was very good. It's a bit out of the way but worth the trip.

Our first dinner of our month long visit to Bordeaux was here. We were so impressed that we chose Sonâ for our last dinner. First of all, the room is stunning! A perfect blend of old and new, sleek and modern compliments the gorgeous ceilings. The staff is friendly, welcoming and very efficient. One menu, a 45 euro, five course, culinary adventure, changes daily. Well chosen wine list. On both visits, we shared foie gras, a nice potion for only 10 euros. We thought the first dinner was perfection with several high points...maybe all high points. The second dinner was not so successful, with a couple of misses. In both cases, the dessert was a scene stealer. Plating is artful, complimented by unusual serving pieces. The young chef is creative with a real sense of adventure, that is very evident. This is a very good restaurant, with loads of potential to be truly great, but itâs not there yet. Itâs still in itâs infancy. We look forward to returning next year....it will only get better and better.Good afternoon!Hmmm so disappointed about the mark I told to my mother that we will be maybe second ahah (true story lol) But I understand that we can improve our style. I'm agree with you off course ^^ I'm happy to see that you enjoyed your dinners , it's difficult to be always very powerful on every dishes but we always trying to. One day we will do it like you said! :D Just to know... Can you send me an email of what were your first dinner and the second one? Even if I have an Idea of the second one (Rolled lamb for the pre starter am I right?) We were so proud of that menu, specially the duck with the cherry sauce (but it's my own opinion indeed). Remember our email is :[email protected] you very much for your time!Kind regards, well seasoned salutations! The chef Sylvain

Nofa is a small «boutique restaurant» with Italian influences, located near Place Pey-Berland in the heart of downtown Bordeaux. On the menu, the recipes are featuring ingredients imported from Italy, cooked with French passion, with vegetarian friendly o
This place is such a gem, I had a lovely welcome when entering the restaurant itself (I hadnât booked). Itâs a family run affair and they all seemed to really enjoy it too. Just to pre-warn this isnât a single dish place, you have to order 2-3 course and trust me itâs worth it and itâs not overpriced at all.I went for two courses, a starter and a main (Plus some lovely wine). You have to try the salmon. This is quite a simple review for me but if youâre in Bordeaux make sure you go here for dinner - You will not be disappointed!!All the team is very happy to read those lines ! Thank you so much and we hope to have the pleasure to welcome you another time ! The Nofa team
