Just go here, you won't regret it. The owner was there, kind and welcoming with a smile, and service was amazing, and the fondue was excellent. I recommend the Vermont Cheese fondue with Kirsch (special liquor, not on the menu, but true traditional fondue is meant to be paired with Kirsch liquor).

The Kaffeehaus, located in previous Austrian Tea and Tap Room, restaurant, serves baked goods, sandwiches, soups, desserts, flatbreads and quiches as well as other offerings. We also serve our von Trapp Brewing lagers, coffee, tea, juices and soda. Our de
At 2pm, the pastries were tired and unappetizing. Espresso was a terrible experience: the person using the machine appeared to be using it for the first time. The resulting espressos were too big and bitter. I visited this kaffeehaus when it was serving the new beer and it was much better. Especially disappointing as our other Von Trapp resort experiences were excellent.

The Lounge offers a sampling of our Vermont and Austrian specialties as well as American favorites such as burgers and seafood. Our intimate lounge is a great spot to enjoy the fine musical talents of Chris Vigneau and Kathi Tarrant. Fireplace in winter/o
If you are remotely interested in the story of The Sound of Music, I highly recommend stopping at the loge even it you aren't staying to attend the 90 minute presentation comparing the movie to the actual story from the decedents of the von Trapp family. Thoroughly enjoyed enriching my history and was able to meet one of Maria's grandchildren.

We enjoyed a crepes lunch in this charming and cosy restaurant. Owner Heinz and his staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious, distinctly European and a welcome change from the overly heavy meals weâve been having. We requested a dessert crepe with lemon sugar and maple syrup which was not on the menu but which Heinz was kind enough to make for us. Delicious ! Thank you.

von Trapp Brewing Bierhall is modeled after the Austrian Bierhalles with informal open seating dining. von Trapp Brewing beers are on tap as well as Austrian and Italian wines, Kombucha, Ginger and Root Beer (made in Vermont), Stowe Hard Cider, tea and co
Wife and I had lunch here. The site is beautiful and the building is very impressive with massive timbers. Wife had Helles beer and I had Pilsner, neither special. She said cheese soup very good as were dumplings and salted radishes interesting. I ordered the sausage and cheese appitizer, but got the three Worst sausages plate. Not bad, but wouldn't order it again. It's not inexpensive, our bill was a bit over $60. Service was good. We'll probably come back for a second try.Thank you for coming to the Bierhall. We work to keep our prices fair. Our beers are very authentic Austrian style lagers, while they are not quite as flavor forward as DIPA's in the long run lagers will win the day for easy drinking session style beers.

Seasonal Italian restaurant owned and operated by Italian family. Simple homemade food with a solid wine list and great music, operating since 1986
We dined at Trattoria La Festa on a Saturday evening with a 7:00 reservation. Tony greeted us with a warm welcome and prompt service. The space was energetic and comfortable. Everything we ordered was wonderful. We started with the escargot and insalata caprese, both were delicious. The small cesare salad that came before our entrees was delicious and plentiful. Our entrees included the eggplant tower and the special sole stuffed with crab. We could not resist ordering one of the special desserts from the pastry chef and shared the fresh and light peach tiramisu. The cocktail and wine selection is extensive. As diners who usually pass on the butter with bread, even we can not resist their special spread. Our server was pleasant and efficient. Keep up the excellent work. We can not wait to return.Dear ZIMBoston Thank you for the great review and well written I may add. We are delighted to hear we are doing our job correctly and your kind review will propel us to do more and more to achieve more customer satisfaction and reach more of our guests through a wonderful meal like we do in ItalyCiao e grazieTony and Family
