Barnsley House is a country hotel like no other. Contemporary and stylish but packed with character, it is less a hotel and more your very own Cotswolds countryside retreat.
We joined friends for dinner at Barnsley House. The garden setting for pre dinner drinks was sublime. Dinner in the dining room was first rate. The starters were substantial and tasty. Three of the four diners chose the Halibut for main course which was divine. Desserts were equally as good. The meal was priced a little more than we would normally pay for a weeknight dinner (£250 for four), but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Independent restaurant serving well sourced and presented local fare. Cirencesterâs only two rosetted restaurant.
The external appearance belies the interiors old world charm and warm welcome.Hidden down one of the many charming alleyways in Cirencester next to Jessies Butchers shop we celebrated a birthday with close Family. The service was efficient but reflected the rural area in which it lies so a little slower than major city speeds. The choice of cuisine was in my view fantastic and subtle and the wine served at the right temperature which even in fining dining Restaurants is not always the case. The Staff discreetly even served my sweet whilst singing happy birthday.Could not have been a better evening.

Nice Local Family Run Restaurant Serving Good Value Food In A Friendly Atmosphere. Traditional Italian.
Yesterday was my first visit, it won't be my last! What a hidden gem ! If you want the best tasting food just like how your imaginary Italian grandma would make, look no further. The chef is brilliant! Every dish we ordered was perfect! Elena was our waitress and was so welcoming to us, particularly to my mum, who'd had an operation the day before. She also kept the restaurant open past their usual hours so we didn't have to rush our meal. I'm so grateful places like this exist! We're already planning our return. Just be aware, the toilets are upstairs so if you can't do stairs plan ahead.

Great place modelled on a traditional French Bistro (part of a UK chain that manages to stay pretty true to the original.)Courtyard area outside is good in the summer, large indoor restaurant area with booths and freestanding tables.Always some monthly specials available and a good wine list too

We recently visited for my birthday and could not have had a nicer lunch experience, we were greeted by friendly staff who seated us and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. We were particularly awkward about dessert but nothing was too much trouble and when mine came out it had been specially created for me with the words Happy Birthday. If you havenât been yet and youâre local you really must!!!

We are a family run Modern European Tapas Restaurant, located in Cirencester. Where possible, we use as much local produce as possible from around the Cotswolds, and combine this with the best quality Spanish ingredients to create a truly authentic dining
Tierra and Mar is a short walk from the city center in Cirencester but definitely worth the extra steps. Comfortable, cheery space. Great service, staff is very knowledgeable. Chef starts off with n amuse bouche which was incredible. Each selection seemed to surpass the prior one. The stone bass was cooked to perfection, the venison was full of flavor and super tender. This place should not be missed if you love good, creative food!
