Country Hotel Anna, which is listed on Trip Advisor, was originally just a restaurant - it's at the same location.
We ate dinner here three nights. Each night we had the fish special, which was fresh and well prepared. It was also quite filling. The bread and butter were excellent. We had mushroom soup, which was creamy and very tasty. We tried the house wines from Italy, which were good. The staff were helpful, friendly, and spoke excellent English. The restaurant is not cheap, but the food is well prepared and presented. This is a small place so book in advance to ensure you get a table.

UMI Hotel offers a first class restaurant with a magnificent view of the Westman islands and the southern coast line. The restaurant's beautiful design and the spectacular unspoiled nature surrounding it speaks to the restaurant's cuisine. We emphasize th
We had a lovely wedding celebration dinner for seven people here in August 2018. The food was very good and well presented. We all enjoyed ourselves and were glad we chose this restaurant for our event.

The Old Cowhouse is a warm and welcoming family restaurant. That takes pride in offering fresh products from local area. All the meat on the menu is 100% free range and unprocessed, straight from the farm! Fresh vegetable from our garden. We bake our own
Stopped by for lunch. The food was ok, a bit boring-looking, and not so much food. Could have been a good stay if not for the waitress. At first we just thought she was stressed because of the busload that just arrived but then she sighed and made gestures because another customer didnât understand her english... wouldnt recommend unless you have to.

One of the cheapest options in the area, but not that good. How to get there? From Route 1 took the road to the Skogafoss Waterfall, then turn left on the first street and go straight until you get to the first street that you can turn right. It is a building with a white sign âRestaurant Shopâ.Opening hours: all week from 10 am to 8 pm.Service: you order & pay. The lady on the counter was very nice, very patient with us for taking our time to choose what to order. If you order soup, it is self-served. Food: we order 2 Raufafell. Sandwich with smoked lamb, cheese, mustard & chips. A simple and zero special sandwich. I tried one from Bonus Supermarket in Reykjavik (obviously not the same), but basically same concept, and I would say that the one from the Bonus were better and cheaper. But, under the circumstances, that you do not have to many options in the Skogar area for an accessible price, it is what it is.Place: there is a plenty of room, the tables are prepared for big groups. It has some big windows that make you feel even that the place is bigger, but you cannot see the waterfall from inside. They have restrooms very clean and well maintained. Also, they have a souvenir shop that I think had very good options.Quality/Price: 2 of those sandwiches for 1.600 ISK each and a very sad soup at 1.250 ISK.

The hotel has several separate buildings consisting of +/- 5 rooms each. It is an old property-with refurbished bathrooms (I think they change the tap with thermostat systems - and that's all). Each room has inconsistent furniture (some has 3 chairs, some has a chair and a sofa), wall-mounted heater and some has an extra mobil heater. Shower area is separated by a curtain which of course makes the floor wet. The hotel has a big restaurant that still can accommodate orders until 9pm - which is above standard for out of town hotel/guesthouse. The receptionist is also very helpful. Hairdryer is available upon request. For a price that is 50% cheaper than most other hotel/guesthouse in Iceland, this is considerably a good bargain. It is also nearby Skogafoss .

We had dinner here two nights in a row. The restaurant is small and elegantly cozy. The food was well-prepared and quite good. We tried the lamb, salmon and fish dishes. They also offer a vegetarian dish each day. Our waiter the first night was perhaps new? He was polite but not very attentive. The young man from the front desk helped him out a bit. Their breakfasts are excellent--something for everyone.

In the U.S., food options near tourist spots are often underwhelming. So we were wowed by this restaurant for a late lunch. Local beers are available, we enjoyed the taste of 4 brews. The Arctic char was perfectly cooked and seasoned...the accompanying veggies too! The view of the Falls is mesmerizing, but I tore my eyes away to enjoy food presentation and taste. A highlight meal in a land of good food.
