I had trouble locating a place to buy a bottle of water on Saturday evening in this town, but instead stumbled across this restsurant. It's a restaurant, bar and "whiskey museum" all in one (well, "museum" is probably an overstatement - but they do have an impressive collection of whiskeys from around the world). It's not a huge place - but a cozy one, so you better call ahead to make a reservation.Obviously, they have an extensive liquor menu which impresses you not only by whiskey selection but by wine and beer pages as well. The food menu is not huge, but trust me - it's GOOD. The prepararion, the presentation, the serving - all call for high marks. Even simplest things like, say, chicken breast, are cooked in perfect balance, so you go "mmmm, das schmeckt es gut!". The service was very friendly and fast. They have English menus for German-inept (like myself). All in all, a very good experience, will definitely come back if I'm passing through Jenbach again.
I came here after shopping with my aunty. I am born Austrian but in 30 years never come to see this beautiful place. I highly recommend the museum and the food . The lady who runs it is lovely and the view is delightful. Walk up and down along the forest walk ways and you will love it, relaxing and enjoyable.

This is a lovely self-service Swiss/Austrian bakery which is open on Sunday afternoons â a big plus point for us looking for refreshments after our cycle tour. A lovely selection of cakes and breads ; hot and cold drinks as well as savoury snacks are available. There is also free Wifi and the lady serving at the counter was very friendly. There were a lot of wasps helping themselves to the cakes in the chiller â but hey! At least the pesky things were not bothering the customers! A very pleasant stop, sitting on the street in the old town on a Sunday afternoon.

Right outside the Schwaz Silver mine entry (an attraction in Tyrol that I recommend), we were happy to see this nice restaurant. A good lunch under 25 â¬. The mix grill was served in a wooden mine carriage, a nice touch.

The title says it all. My parents eat there 4 times in the week they are in austria. It's good (beware: not very good!), a lot and cheap. The total package made me give the top rating, but some dishes aren't that good. Especially the cordon bleu was mediocre. The fish was excellent.

We were staying at the hotel, so one night chose to eat there, we were not disappointed. Good choice, very tasty, generous portions, reasonable price. The beef consomme is excellent !

The food was delicious, hearty food and huge portions. Exactly what you want from winter Austrian food after a dayâs skiing. Family owned, filled with Austrians and seemingly untouristy apart from us. Up a long windy snowy road, so definitely go by taxi. Get the calorie-laden Kaisermarren for dessert (one between 4 to 6 people probably).

Fantastic view from the large terrace, 1700 m above sealevel, in typical traditional Alpine style, easy to reach and so far off at the same time. There are many different ways to reach it: You can take the bus in Schwaz and then walk for an hour, you can take your own car and drive right there, you can ride with your mountain bike and then continue to the Zillertal, you can even stay there over night and climb on the top of one of the mountains surrounding the hut, in winter take the toboggan or snowshoes with you or you can co cross-county skiing ...Among the locals this Alpine hut is famous for its giant Wiener Schnitzel.

The restaurant has a pleasant athmosphere and the staff is friendly and nice. The dishes were not terrible, but they lacked the standard that I would have wished for from authentic good local cuisine. The salad was a bit sad, with the potato salad being wet and not very delicious. The main dishes were somewhat well done but again not really delicious and so most in attendance struggled to finish their big portion plates. One can definitely eat there rather than go hungry, but there's no need to go their twice.
