Firstly, this hotel/restaurant isn't in Sartene. Its over 20kms away in Campomoro. Lovely place to stay if you want a quiet, beach location (not July or August of course). Not much English spoken though. I don't think they had many English guests but I believe the hotel is now available through Headwater Holidays? Rooms are pretty basic especially ground floor rooms but food is wonderful. At 50 euros per head for room + breakfast + evening meal, you can't go wrong. Beatrice has run (owned?) hotel since I first went there back in 1997 and she's still there now, overseeing the hotel and the restaurant. There's not a lot in Campomoro except a beach, dive school, a few small hotels, some campsites, beach bars and a beach. Oh, there's the Genoese Watchtower at the end of the peninsula which has fab views out to the ocean and back to the Valinco Gulf. You can fall out of your hotel room in a swimsuit and flip-flops and you'll be on the beach in 3 minutes flat. The place is about 25 mins along the coast road (D121) 'til you get to the main road to Propriano or Sartene or you can take the more ropey D21 which is quite exciting. I've travelled all over our world and Campomoro and Le Ressac is my favourite place in all the world but shhh, don't tell anyone.

Been to chez Antoine 5 times over the past years, and so far never disappointed - service is very friendly (although the place runs with only 2 waiters upstairs so don't expect fast service), fish always fresh and very professionally cooked, nice desserts (generous portions), nice starters and good wine.Overall not cheap, but you get quality for what u pay!We fully recommend!

After an enjoyable evening listenting to the Sartene choir in the nearby church, we located this frstaurant and enjoyed a tasty meal and professional friendly service. Some days later, whilst investigating alternative restaurants we chose to return to this restaurant and again enjoyed a good meal in a relaxed environment. The meals were tasty and the menu slightly more extensive than those restaurants nearby. The price was quite expensive given the food was good but not excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for it's consistency, friendly and polite service and relaxed atmosphere.

I highly recommend this restaurant for the beautiful surroundings and the friendly welcoming staff. The food is local Corsican cuisine, which is interesting. It is not excellent food, but it is very good and I would return without question because of the charm of the setting and the warmth of the hospitality. This was a magical evening at a very nice restaurant. You must visit to fully understand how the ambiance was more memorable than the cuisine. Be advised that it is difficult to find, but worth the effort.

We've just eaten at Hôtel des Roches. The food was very good. Despite the terrace being closed (perhaps because the main season is finished) we were afforded a wonderful panoramic view from our corner table. However, the wine list is limited and this restaurant was hosting a large tour group tonight - and apparently does so regularly - which seemed to diminish the service. It definitely meant that dining wasn't as quiet and pleasant as it would otherwise have been. Still, we enjoyed our meal and would go back if we could pick a night when a tour group is not passing through.

This place is certainly worth the visit if you're in the naighbourhood. They have a great outdoor terrace, the staff is very friendly, the whole atmosphere is very plesant. The food they serve is really good: it's tasty, varied, rich in flavors. They have some great wines too. It's probably the best place we went to in Corsica! Thanks a lot for coming. Arriving arrive at just before 22:30, we were pleased to hear they were still open for dinner. We decided on the salads and were really pleased. Delicious tasty tomatoes with the freshest buffalo mozzarella (almost a burrata) and pesto dressing was my Italian salad. Hubby had a Chèvre chaud salad which was also excellent with goats cheese on toasted bread and selection of prosciutto and lardons combined with salad leaves.Service was excellent and very happy with our choice.

We loved this place at lunch enough that we returned for dinner. It commands a fantastic view of the maquis all the way down to the sea, and the food, while rustic, is spectacular. For lunch we had a torte with sanglier (wild boar) that was magically seasoned with herbes de maquis and a daily special of tarte with aubergine, tomatoes, and local cheese. Almost everyone seemed to be ordering the brochettes, cooked on a wood fire, so when we returned for dinner the next day, that's what we had. We were not disappointed. Desserts are delightful. Worth a detour -twice!
