Manel was the consummate host. Despite our broken Spanish and his delightful command of English we had an evening of special treats. We followed his leads ( with some of our familyâs allergies) and without a hitch had some delicious local favourites. The bikinis with truffles were perfect. As was the tomato with olive oil on amazing bread. Selection of olives top deck. The four cheese platter, and we mean platter not just a plate, divine. Local wine was a must and was delivered with pride. Steak Tartar best we have ever experienced echoed by the family. Tuna and tomato tartar again took our breath away. Locals and tourists alike filled the locale. Service perfectly paced with Manel arranging the sequence to our delight! Value far beyond the price! We will go back again for sure!

Visited the restaurant 2 nights ago whilst staying in the Can Galvany hotel, it was on recommendation from a colleague. There is a large seating area in pleasant surroundings, a friendly welcome and shown to a table straight away. I ordered the entrecôte with pepper sauce, I was not disappointed, cooked very well and tender meat with good flavour. Accompanied by a bottle of vivanco reserve made the experience very pleasant indeed. Will certainly be returning. Dear Mr nhshifty73Thank you for your opinion. Very nice food,the staff was very helpfull.i had the menu of the day wich hud,small salad,a nice ball of rice stuffed with meat,and for main beef with roquefort sause and finally a piece of chocolate cake.All of these in a very good price (because of the menu of the day).Thank you!

Went here for dinner with my family on our last night in the area. It does not appear to be visited often by tourists as there were only Spanish and Catalan language menus and the staff did not speak much English. The attitude of the staff towards us, including my children, can best be described as uninterested, which was disappointing. It was guesswork when it came to ordering the food and they did not offer any advice or seem bothered that we could not understand what the different menu items were. They brought bread and whole tomatoes but did not explain how to make pan con tomate - the table next to us demonstrated it. I'm all for dining with locals and eating local food but expect an understanding and helpful attitude from the staff. To top it all the food was at best indifferent and at worse inedible. Do not order the Churrasco which we were told was steak - what arrived was a cut of beef I have never seen before along the lines of spare ribs. Best to avoid this place.

From the moment we arrived we felt completely welcomed at this restaurant which was recommended by friends. Its a real gem. The decor is ultra chic and the food matches. We could not believe that croquettes could be any better than my husbands Spanish mother but we were wrong! Everything on the menu had its own character and we tried as much as we could. We would recommend this to anyone wanting to taste the true flavours of Spain but with a completely modern style. Lastly, the staff were amazing, especially Maria Angeles whose love for her restaurant made us love it as well. Go!!!

This was my second time dining at Can Poal, both times for lunch. The lunch menu is amazing! It is a bit pricey, but for a special occasion, it is well worth it. Each dish is carefully prepared and presented beautifully. I believe this to be the best restaurant in Vallromanes and both times it has exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend dining here!

This is one of my favourite restaurant choices outside of Barcelona. The food is simply delicious, with great care of where they select their products and how they cook them. I love how they take traditional catalan cuisine and bring a modern and fresh twist to each of the dishes. The service is equally wonderful, extremely attentive and with a excellent selection of wines. The owner is very knowledgeable, so simply ask which wine combines well with which food. Overall, excellent value for money and will certainly not be deceived if you come here for a special occasion.

Poor food, bad quality and really expensive. I went with my family on Saturday and we were all without words.... How can this restaurant be qualified as the first in the zone? I travel often to sabadell and santa perpetua for business and i know that there are much better restaurants around. Never again!

The chef and staff went va long way to make use Americans have a great time and meal.We so enjoyed the food we had two return visits and brought friends. An English menu was created and printed for our second visit. We do not eat meat. The Chef prepared several great fish meals for us each evening. Great food at a good price.thank you very much for your visit and thank you very much for sharing your opinion with the other travelers ..
