Perfectly acceptable pizza restaurant on the shaded side of the big square in San Sebastian. Sit outside and you can see life go by. The service was by a couple of slightly triste young women. We enjoyed our evening but the restaurant was no more/no less than one would expect.

We ended up here for the dinner quite late (many restaurants were already closing) but here was warm atmosphere and a lot of other people. Carlos was very friendly and helpful and we got good dinner; gambas de ajillo, fresh fish etc. Really nice experience. Made us feel so welcome.

Very friendly welcome to this popular place. As noted before the portions are very generous and plenty of fresh fish, although other options available. Side salads were really good accompaniment to our main meals. All in all good evening and very good value

It was Carneval â Saturday night the town was full, the noise considerable, all the children were dressed up and the long procession had just parked up. We thought the restaurant would be full, but in fact all the families were having drinks and snacks in the central square and we were the only people in this restaurant, which although on the top floor above some shops, is well known.Things started well, with nice breads, a complimentary glass of Cava, and an amuse bouche of potato and mushroom. We chose our own (local) wine from the display, and that was fine. But unfortunately, the food was not so good. My squid was just a few small shreds in too much batter, and my tuna was an overcooked end-cut in several pieces, although my partnerâs watercress soup was excellent and cod with palm honey was good. Obviously, these are cheaper ingredients. We felt very sorry for the four staff who tried so hard just for us in an otherwise empty restaurant. But sadly, it would be hard to recommend as the prices were higher than most other restaurants nearby and the food quality variable.

Club Laurel has a great setting and a good ambiance, although too much of the seating is outdoors for January evenings. The service is pretty good, but the food isnât up to other restaurants in Playa Santiago, for quality or quantity, and you pay more.Dear customer, Thank you for your comments regarding your experience in our Club Laurel Restaurants. It is regrettable that the meals did not meet your expectations. The food in our Club Laurel is 100% natural and offers a very healthy culinary option. However, it also good that there is some variation in the village of Santiago and that you could take advantage of the variety on offer.Best regards,

Four of us called in here for a welcome drink after the walk down the Benchijigua Valley - excellent spot, super-welcoming host & excellent ambient music playing quietly in the background. We didnât eat (weâd had our sandwiches already) but weâre still served some delicious potato and chorizo tapas for free - a great touch. A couple of other walkers there said the homemade soup (almost a stew) was delicious too. A little gem of a place, and great to see how popular it was - it deserves it.

Above all, the Gomeran fish casserole. The excellent surrounding sea, its unique crops and characteristic manners are its gastronomyâs main ingredients - simple and tasty. Traditional dishes include watercress soup, âalmogroteâ (cheese paste), boiled blen
Hotel in a beautiful location with wonderful grounds Most staff very friendly Just a few gripes The sauna was out of action and at the weekend ferry noise kept us awake all night ( not the hotels fault but surely this can be stopped ? ) Also the restaurant is good but overpriced and the snack bar menu is poor - improving these and just slightly lowering food prices could see the eating areas much fuller A shame because overall a lovely hotel .

We were recommended to try this restaurant by a restaurant manager in Santiago. She wasnât wrong. The menu was not extensive but had some interesting selections. As well as fillet steaks with unusual sauces - port reduction; fig and goats cheese - they had a speciality âblack beefâ which my partner tried. He was most impressed, said it was best steak heâd had for ages. Our friends were equally impressed with both starters and mains. Just sorry we wonât have time to return on this visit to the island

Really delicious and tasty food. The starter was not warm enough and took 35 min to be served. The main course took 1h 15min from placing the order to being on the table. The serving was very small, we left feeling hungry. Cozy ambience but a bit chilly (only outdoor seating). They provide blankets but some sort of heating would be nice.Recommend booking table in advance.
