¡Do a culinary trip through Italy in a rural late XIX century house! We are specialists in artisanal italian cuisine. We cook with classic and fresh ingredients that give unique flavors to our plates. Inside the restaurant, walls vibrate with art collecti
Beautiful open air patio, excellent service, unusual and traditional dishes that are phenomenal. Parents-in-law said octopus was the best they ever had. My son loved the lasagne. Freshly squeezed juices are always a treat and made from fresh whole fruit, and flan, cotton candy, and chocolate lava cake were hits. Beautifully constructed building with art on the walls. My favorite of the many restaurants we have tried on the biannual visits to this area. Highly recommend.

We felt very comfortable, as was the live music was fantastic. Beer lovers come at their expense as they have extremely many indigenous varieties. Johanna was the best waitress you could ever imagine. As we enjoyed the first night so much, we arrived for several days to eat here. The food is super fine and extremely large portions. Thank you again for all the love team.

An enchanting restaurant in the very hearth of San Jose, with authentic Italian cuisine and spotless service. Everything is hand made. Try the Festa della Pasta, for a fix price you can try 5 different handmade pastas. Enjoy our brick oven long fermentati
Service was very spotty. Waiter uninspired and not at all helpful to the two gluten free diners at our table. The ravioli and the pizza I shared with my friend weâre ok (ravioli lacked flavor) but the greatest disappointment was that both dishes were barely warm. The pizza had sat for so long that it was soggy. Prices seem high for the quality, presentation and service.

Went for a business lunch. Greast surprise. All dishes ordered were made to perfection with large portions and good service. The place is set in an old San José house and it is welcoming. It has private parking on the side. Came here because 2 people of our group have gluten issues. There were plenty of choices for them. We all enjoyed. We will be back.

Restaurant Grano de Oro merges Costa Rican tropical with European cuisine under the expertise of our French chef Francis Canal. Once a simple cafe, this restaurant has evolved into one of San Joseâs finest dining establishments, frequented by locals and t
I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends. The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel. The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. It worth it!Luis Manuel Espinoza R.

Z Gastro Bar is an adventure in Costa Rican gastronomy, a culinary exploration of great dishes artfully presented. The food is almost too beautiful to eat, but itâs the taste that will transport you. Located in the splendid Marina Pez Vela in Quepos. Z ju
My husband and I came to Costa Rica for our honeymoon. We visited Z Gastro Bar and Z Poolside Bistro multiple times during our 5 day stay. We cannot say enough great things about Marita (Gastro) and Warner (poolside). They do an outstanding job at making you feel like family. One day we took a fishing trip out of the marina and brought fresh Mahi in. Marita took the Mahi and had a delicious meal prepared for us, without direction! We had delicious ceviche and the Mahi prepared 3 ways. If youâre coming to Costa Rica, this has to be a stop during your stay! We will be back.

This restaurant serves top quality food for reasonable prices. The restaurant owner is originally from Italy, so there are some Italian dishes on her menu card...but...the Costa Rician dishes are awesome! We ate yellow tuna, which was the best dish we had in our 17 days journey through the country. Also the deserts were great like apple pie (beautifully plated), cheesecake (really good), salami chocolate cake (wow factor), pannacotta (delicious!). The chardonnay wine (Santa Ema from Chili) was delicious and went well with the tuna.Laat but not least...the coffee was great! True Italian espresso, yes!!We had such a wonderful dinner that we decided to come back the next day. We made this decision already at our first dinner in El Chiringuite, and asked the owner whether she could serve fresh lobster the next day. No problem, she asked her fisherman..and the next evening she served wonderful cooked lobster...delicious with the Santa Ema chardonnay...heaven on earth! For us the best food in Costa Rica!Hi 45moniqued,thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled you loved your experience. Our staff will definitely be happy to read what you wrote. Everything about this restaurant was superb: the ambience, the waitstaff and service and especially the amazing food prepared by chef (and co-owner) Richard Neat. And we never anticipated finding one of the best restaurants we ever ate at in Costa Rica! We started our evening with two of their creative cocktails which included a Passion Fruit Martini. For our main dining we chose the Degustation Menu...an experience not to be missed. Five coursesâ each with two different tapas which were so artfully constructed and presented, I hesitated to try the food before I could first take a photo! It was that unique and creative! And delicious. Each course was accompanied by a small glass of wine which was perfectly paired with the food. Our whole dining experience lasted two hours. It was like being a part of an âEpicurican Theatreâ, The intimate restaurant is set within an indoor/outdoor antiques shop displaying a beautiful collection of pieces from mainly Indonesia. It was karma sitting amongst many Buddhaâs, wood and stone art, as well as water features and gently swaying paper lanterns. Hats off to international chef, Richard Neat! He and his staff made our anniversary an event to remember.Dear Mimi and Michael. Thank you so much for your company and review, we're so happy that you enjoyed yourselves. Have a great continuation of your trip in CR and congrats on that project. Best wishes, Richard

Enjoy incredible Italian gastronomy and wonderful wines at Pimento. Dine in a cosy Italian style atmosphere accented by wood floors and a brick grotto ceiling. The traditional Italian menu offers a variety of fresh homemade pastas, risottos, fresh seafood
Cristian was our waiter and provide us with warm and pleasant set. The food was wonderful. The only request I have is to NOT microwave the bread as they did and to serve real butter in lieu of the artificial butter made with rapeseed oil. Dear Thomas,We´re glad that you enjoyed the food and the service of Pimento. Thanks for sharing your comments, your opinion it´s very important for us. Forward to welcome you soon.Best regards,Ricardo Menendez,General Manager.
