I visited this place with my friend. Exterior is pretty nice, interior a bit weird what reflect in the overall atmosphere. Waiter was kind and nice, we did not wait much for the food but maybe it's because there was noone else except of us. Food was not good, honesty, if I had visitors from abroad and invited them here I would feel ashamed. There was also hair in my halušky. Not possible to Pay by card, only cash. Next time I will better choose some other place to ENJOY lunch as here I did not find it very enjoyable.

Reštaurácia v Penzióne Biely dom v Ružomberku nenadchne. Prostredie, obsluha, výber i kvalita jedál nijako neoslnia. Ak sa potrebujete najesť, najete sa, ale nebude to žiadny gurmánsky zážitok.
It is a simple place, in an amazing village with plain simple food. The prices are a little higher than in other regular places in Slovakia, but this is a tourist destination, so ... it's normal. Well, and you will not loose a fortune ;-)

They have other food other than Slovakian on their menu but my husband and I prefer to eat regional foods from the area. This restaurant has it all, with prices that are very reasonable. They have a pasta dish with poppy seeds that, although I can't remember the exact name, is phenomenal. The trout (whole fish) was terrific. If you stay at their quaint cabins, they give you 10% off (which we did). Breakfasts are very good, with a large variety of menu choices. Exceptional quality and highly recommend.Thank you very much Paula to let us know about your staying in our resort. It is nice to have people from a broad. Yes we are cooking everything from scratch and do our best:) we like that people can taste not only the typical food but we also make food by asking .See you soon. We also have now little contact ZOO in our area for kids to explore animals. We are family business - thank you

Beautiful typical cozy koliba, very tasty slovakian food and drinks and a good service. The only minus were two drunk middle aged men, who were rude to the waitress as they couldnt control their level of alcohol. After that, they sat in the car and drove off... bless people on the roads !
First of all I have to admit that this wasnt the best burger I ever had - and I travelled to the most famous locations for Burgers in USA and all over Europe , so I know what to compare to. The location overall has a nice charme and I think its also nice for casual/relaxed lunch or dinner or to go out with friends/family eat here. The french fries were not self made but nice spiced as well as the homemade tartar dressing. They also serve IPA beer from tap - which was also very good alternative to the regular beers served in Ruzomberok. And now to the Burger: I orderd the Jalapeno Burger. Everything very good so far. The meat was tasty and juicy. The bacon sauce nice with the roasted bacon and vegetables. The bun fresh and crispy - but for my personal opinion not the right one for burgers. If it were more like a self made brioche one - this burger would definitely come to my top list. And last but not least: the waiter was very helpful and very kind. So for a Ruzomberok Burger I give 5 points! Go eat here - best Burger in Ruzomberok!

On our way back to Budapest from Katowice we wanted to eat spacial Slovakian food. We found Koliba Likava here on Tripadvisor. The restaurant was just like in the pictures and reviews. Very nice building in the hillside, with a backyard playground and front view on a castle. Cabbage soup and Bryndzove Halusky were both perfect choice. Waiter was really kind.

This restaurant is located within a sprawling compound that includes many family attractions like live animals, sjops and an interesting tractors' exhibition. The service and quality of food is optimal and very reasonably priced. My stewed lamb was tasty and very well cooked in a tasty gravy. The other main courses enjoyed by our family members were well received too.

We absolutely loved the place: stunning scenery, the traditional wooden buildings, the quality interiors, the service, atmosphere. What a shame that it was raining and we could not visit Obrovo - the giant's village. Another reason to come back. The food was good, too. This was my most favourite "stop for lunch". Highly recommend (already did to a few people!).
