There is nothing more serious to us that your enjoyment! A kitchen with finesse, homemade, with good fresh produce, where the Burgundian kitchen alongside the current creativity. A wine list prepared with passion. A warm atmosphere.
This was our second visit to Le Terroir and we once again found the welcome, space & décor, and the food & wine to be excellent. There were mostly local business people in the dining room while we were enjoying lunch. It appears to be a well regarded and frequently visited establishment, and has been there since 1989. If you are in the area, I highly recommend a stop for lunch or dinner.

This restaurant was recommended by a local hotelier and we're so glad we went! Food was excellent, we were genuinely impressed with the flavours, quality and presentation of every dish we tried. The wine list has a great choice. Don't be put off that this restaurant as part of a hotel. Please note they don't take dogs inside the restaurant, but we had a table outside and they kindly gave us blankets when it got a bit chillier, plus a dog bowl - which was very considerate.

Le Mercurey never disappoints. The menu choice is excellent and they make the best potatoes dauphinoise and creme brûlée in Burgundy. The service was attentive and we enjoyed a good Mercurey wine from their very good wine selection.

Having read different reviews, mainly good, we were curious to see/taste for ourselves..... The young lady serving was incredibly efficient, managing to serve the whole restaurant, with probably 30 diners, with astonishing efficiency while remaining friendly and approachable at all times. The food was excellent, from amuse-bouche, through to the end, and we lucked into a very good choice of red wine (though I wont say which....!) Overall very good value and worth a visit. The negative comment from the campers is an aberration in my opinion.

Grill restaurant with local menu where we offer several types of grilled meats and fondue specialties in a warm, comforting and simple atmosphere.
What a stunning establishment, with all the romance of a small lane, a burning exposed fire grill for the food we were about to partake in, and the most beautiful interior of vaulted ceilings - like those you see in a church. The menu was a mix of a la carte, or the specials of the day. The wait staff were friendly, and professional, and helpful given language and allergies were a concern for our party. Our Spanish waitress was delightful, funny, professional, and attentive. The FOOD, was delicious, with choices of Boueff, Pork, Fish, snails. Side dishes of fresh carrots, beans, and potatoes. The wine of course from the region was the perfect accompaniment for our meal - order the house wine, by the carafe, it was fabulous. What we all commented on was how the taste of meals remaind with us as we strolled through this very pretty town on our return home. Well done Le Grenier a Sel. We have returned for a second meal and the standards have not changed, the value exceptional E18.50 pp, for dinner in France, therefore it is very easy to highly recommend this exceptional establishment.

Great food, great service, great price, consistently great - we look forward to returning each year and have never been disappointed even after probably 20 visits over the past few years.4 courses including tasty local cheeses for about â¬40, all served by the efficient and friendly team, and all tasting great - hard to beat!Every year they find a new and delicious way to serve snails. The meat terrine starter is packed full of flavour. The lamb for mains was excellent, and my rhubarb desert desert was really good. We just love this place and can't recommend highly enough.

A lovely experience! A well-run, welcoming restaurant with outstanding food, great wines (try the Maranges!), and friendly, efficient service. We had the frog-legs, in the traditional way but with maize flower, rendering them even more "croustillantes".. Then we went for the Chef's recommendation if going "à la carte": "Filet de boeuf Charolais à la sauce aux morilles"..; with fries fried in "graisse de boeuf"...Divine. Deserts are not for the faint of heart either: an extraordinary choice, one looking more tempting than the other! A truly nice place, to which we will certainly return (going then probably for one of the fabulous-looking menus). Merci, Florence et Fabrice Dubois!

We have stayed in amazing hotel /restaurant several times and it never disappoints. The bedrooms are large , very comfortable and peaceful. The food is excellent and wine choice huge. Although obviously quite expensive I always feel value for what you receive. From the time you arrive and they park your car you know you are going well looked after. The staff are efficient, professional and very helpful.Brian T.

We were in the region for a week of French Language Immersion and our professeuse took us to Le Bouzeron two times for lunch. Both experiences were excellent - food, services, ambiance. Bouzeron is a new wine appellation in Burgundy, so the wines are interesting (Chardonnay and Aligote). But this kitchen is exceptional - more than I expected in such a small town.Highly recommend.

We have been visiting this hotel for the last 25 years, and we used to love it. Sadly, with the new owners, the quality has plummeted. Whilst the food remains excellent, why should I stay in a room with no heating, (November!), dodgy plumbing, pealing wallpaper, no sound insulation, and no creature comforts, whilst the owner/ manager treats me as if he has never seen me before.Enough.We have tried to be faithful to this hotel, but, sadly, we will not return.
