This pub is small like an Irish pub but it gives guest the opportunity to mingle. It was very warm and welcoming. It also has great background music. Because of the size you must call for a reservation if you come with friends. We had 6 people, 3 adults and 3 children. I had the Cherry Beer. It was a nice, girly beer. I enjoyed it. I also had the fish and chips. It was delicious, served with Hake which is a nice tender fish in the Cod family. The meal came with a delicious salad and coleslaw. Everything was delicious! It takes awhile for the food to come out but that is because they make it all fresh! I enjoyed my dining experience there. They have English menus and the staff speak English making it easy to figure out what you want.

We decided to walk from the town centre and regretted not cycling. It took at least 40 mins, past the docks and down empty streets through the industrial area. We took a taxi home.The restaurant is in the historic pasta factory and museum. At the end of the working day, the restaurant stays open until 11 pm. The variety in the menu was ample. It was very quiet, there being only two other couples eating. This did not impair the restaurant atmosphere.We had good service and excellent food. The waitress then happily called a taxi for us.

On the main street, and a walk away from the train station and the Mercure hotel, but worth the walk. Excellent choices and an attentive proprietor. He quickly rearranged the outdoor tables to accommodate our six person group, and tailored some of the menu items to meet our requests.
