Popped in for lunch as we were traveling through, and v handy for the park nearby. One of the best meals on our long holiday so far. Opted for the set lunch, and was 15E for 3 course meal. All courses sublime. Must visit if in the area. Desserts in the picture (no idea what they were called, although she mentioned a floating meringue).

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Saumur, but almost everything about the experience was disappointing - both the service and the food. We were ignored for at least 20 mins before we were even given a menu, and kept wondering if we should go and remind them we were there. There were 4 of us, and we were given no bread or water until we actually given our food, and then only one very small piece for each of us, there was great consternation when we asked for more! 3 of us had the guacamole with crevettes, for the starter, which didn't taste like any guacamole I had ever tasted before, (very strange!) It didn't get very much better as the meal went on. We live in France, and are used to so much better for the price. We definitely chose badly on this occasion.

We just needed a little lunch on the Saturday during the European Cadillac Car Rally we were attending here, and this was right next to the ancient fish market, where we had been entertained to fizz and nibbles by the Mayor and other dignitaries.Unpretentious meal under the trees on a raised platform in this quaint square just off the main square, and there is a small restaurant inside. Good and busy, and the epitome of Frenchness. Steaks for each of us, just a little rare than we would have preferred, even though we asked for medium, expecting rare, but not "bleu". Probably as well to ask for "bien cuit" next time. Tasty, though, and quickly served.

We ate in many good restaurants in our Loire Valley trip and this was definitely our favorite. It is an excellent gourmet restaurant run by a very talented Polish Chef-owner and his wife. It can easily be classified as a Michelin Star restaurant. We started our dinner with a delicious peach kir served with interesting and creative amuse bouches followed by delicious Gambas ( prawns) in curry with pineapple chutney and red pepper. The confit de canard as the main dish was served with a mushroom and parsley side dish. The oven baked dates in passion fruit sauce was to die for. The pastillas as an afterthought were exquisite as well. Service was above excellent. I can easily say this was one of the most unforgettable meals I ever had, a one in a lifetime experience. Nous sommes vraiment très heureux de vous avoir apporté ce moment de plaisir et de bonheur, a une autre fois peut être .....
