Compared with the many other creperies we visited in Rennes, this was our least favorite. The gimmick of naming their crepes after famous Georges didn't improve the food, and prices were higher than at better creperies.

We celebrated there the birthday of my daughter. It was the second time we visited this restaurant. It is a simple place, no fussy decoration, calm with nice atmosphere. The staff was very polite and helpful. We ordered champaign (for the celebration) and then 2 of the Paris menus and one New York menu. The food was delicious. A small remark only for the sweets which were not at the level of the food, still nice though. The prices were really good for such a quality of food. We will visit again.

Owner/chef David Etcheverry (formerly of Les Agapes in La Meziere) is joined at Le Saison restaurant in Saint-Gregoire, just north of Rennes, by wife Christine. Perfectly at home together, the pair have created something special a modern French restau
While being a bit off the beaten track in a small village, this place is just marvelous. Very stylish design meets perfect service and a creative kitchen. We went for the menu for 75 Euros that started with very interesting little dishes, and culminated in a perfect turbot. The sommelier suggested very fine wines by the glass as well. We paid 210 Euros for two people, exceptional value for the food and surroundings offered.

Located the restaurant via TripAdvisor which was walk-able from the hotel. It could not have been a better choice - we had booked the last table for 6 people with our French friends! The choices and quality of the meals were wonderful and no issues with our likes and dislikes, in fact some dishes were changed to accommodate no meat or garlic! We had a wonderful night with lots of French and English spoken! The lady who served us was a delight! Would definitely return next time in Rennes.

A nice little traditional restaurant near the city centre. With a warm and charming ambience, le Bistrot du quai offers you home-made cooking with fresh seasonal products. From Monday to Friday, you can taste traditional French âgastronomyâ, classical dis
We found this restaurant through Tripadvisor while in Rennes, and made a reservation by phone an hour before lunch. From that moment, I had a good feeling about the place. The friendliness over the phone in spite of less than perfect French on my side, was inspiring.Once arrived at the nice looking corner building, we were seated with the same friendliness as had been experienced by phone. The choices were somewhat limited, but absolutely adequate, and the quality of the food and the presentation of the dishes was all top notch. On a Monday, the place filled up to approx. a 90% level, which is quite impressive. Most people seemed to be local, and we appeared to be the only tourists there. But, we were treated as locals, and had a most pleasant meal - at a very reasonable price. Good value for money!Having our summer house an hour away, we will definitely come back. Thanks a lot for this very kind advice. It had been a real pleasure to welcome you and we immediately saw that you are found of homemade cooking and nice wines. The whole team hopes we'll see you again when you come back to Rennes. Thanks again.

At 12 o'clock, we have a menu of the day that changes every day. With to two starters, two main dishes and two desserts. Everything is fresh , local and seasonal. (13 ou 17 euros) In the evening we have a 25 euros menu with a choice of three starters, thr
Donât let the simple setting of this restaurant fool you - the food is top notch with reasonable pricing. For a first course, we had gazpacho with crème fraiche and layers of sliced radishes with herbed goat cheese and a caramel sauce. Our main courses were a local white fish with a rice pilaf and tomatoes and duck breast over a sweet potato purée and plum sauce. Our desserts were a pear soup with whipped cream and an almond cake with a thin layer of whipped raspberry icing and bars of semi-sweet dark chocolate. The service was great and friendly. The total bill with two glasses of a nice local white wine was â¬60.00. Reservations required. We would definitely go back in the future. Note: in Brittany, it seems to be the rule that there is only one sitting so the table is yours for the night.Thank you so much.In Brittany & in France, the restaurants use to have two sitting. But at Le 2 rue des Dames, we just have one, so yes : the table is yours for the night (but please let us go to bed, lol)See you.Julien.

Passing by in France, a friend recommended this place to me. I am usually quite fussy with food but this time I really wasn't disappointed! the food was excellent! fresh food and typically french. 1 waitress and 1 chef which makes it a very friendly restaurant, the waitress was lovely, friendly and warm and the cook came to ask us what we thought about the food. the price was reasonable too.I highly recommend it! this is my new favourite spot in Rennes.

Had lunch here, went with a main course each and a sweet crepe for desert. They brought out a little slice of a really tasty crepe as an asume bouche which was lovely and spicey. I then had a gallete with mustard cream sauce and sausage whilst my wife had a prawn, scallop and chilli one. They also had more traditional choices if you fancied them. Both were delicious and I would happily have returned for dinner. It was also reasonably priced. Definitaly it's one to book though, it was chucking it down and we were lucky to get a table for lunch, but for dinner I think you'd need to make a reservation.

This is the kind of restaurant I could imagine eating at every day, were I to live and work in Rennes. It is small, crowded and friendly, and our food was unpretentious, very tasty and extremely good value. We both chose the lunch special, chicken breast and potatoes, and it was great, perfectly complimented by the house red. I couldn't resist the superb chocolate lava cake dessert. If I'm ever in Rennes again, this is where you'll find me!
