Itâs amazing that I remember a restaurant experience from nearly 7 years ago. My memory isnât that good but art and food help⦠I had a short time in Siena for a lunch but had an amazing meal in a restaurant that was built within an Etruscan cave/tomb. I remember the restaurant for the amazing scent of truffles and a piece of art that I love. Iâm glad I was able to rediscover the restaurant during this visit. The art was still there as was the scent of the truffles. Dinner was memorable as the gnocchi with white truffles and the Chianti Riserva were wonderful. What made the dinner even more unforgettable were two obnoxious American couples that were seated adjacent. They ordered one risotto to be shared 3 ways, one salad to be shared two ways, one rack of lamb to be split 3 ways. They asked for 3 baskets of bread, enjoyed the free prosecco but ordered nothing else. As expected the waitress didnât understand their splits and ended up needing to send items back to the kitchen. One of the women commented that âhigh-end restaurants donât make these kind of mistakes". If you are used to going to high-end restaurants, you should know better than to tuck your dinner napkin in your pants. I commend the wait staff for remaining gracious in providing service in spite of their obnoxiousness.Overall we had a great dinner and I highly recommend. I would love to buy the art too!!!

Went here at lunchtime - first thing is this is not a glitzy pizza restaurant but more an old fashioned Italian streetside ostereia. The staff were outstandingly pleasant and helpful and the surroundings convivial and typical Italian. The food (we shared a quatro staggione pizza and salad) was lovely - the pizza was the thin crust variety and cooked perfectly and ranked up with best I have had anywhere in Italy. The beer was cold and the service was excellent. In all a lovely place for lunch and we would happily visit again. Oh and the price - 23 euros for a pizza, salad and 2 large beers.

The setting alone will take your breath away. The quintessential Tuscan vineyard with views in every direction. But then you enter the dining room where you are warmly welcomed by an attentive staff.The menu is small but with something for everyone. We started with the baccala bruschetta and a salad mista. Both were excellent but there is something about the freshness of the salad greens and their presentation that wowed me. Or maybe it was the addition of their locally produced olive oil. Either or, both appetizers were scrumptious. My husband then ordered the boar steak and I the tagliterini with truffle sauce, each rich in flavor in its own way but again home runs. We finished with the ricotta mouse, which was to die for. And if you are into wines their selection is top notch but the prices are reasonable.Al in all from the staff to the menu and quality of food our night was perfect and we highly recommend a lovely evening at Foresteria. We were fortunate to be guests on wedding which took place in ValleChiara. This is absolutely gorgeous place with original Toscan view, but what makes it truly special is the lake. Restaurant is just in front of the water. We have enjoyed this gorgeous night with beautiful sets and stunning food: we have tried so many dishes which are piculiar for Toscany. And great wine of course!

We came for lunch to this wonderful and modern restaurant with stylish interior. All service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Tough eating in chaotic Siena, this unusually cool placed cafe, is excellent, out of center craziness but 5minutes walk to the center, the lasagna isnât over the top tasty while the service is nothing I have seen in italy.i stopped for a drink but had to eat. We had lunch here while staying nearby and really enjoyed it. The food/wine was good/reasonably priced and the service excellent. The outside location was good as it was a hot day and we were very comfortable.

The pizzas are really nice and tasty. Excellent value for money. Staff is friendly but maybe a bit slow with the service. If you are in the Siena area with car and don't want to drive in to the center of Siena, this is a good choice.
