After living near this restaurant for years I finally decided to visit with friends for a weekend dinner. While the decor was lovely-I unfortunately couldn't see the restaurant as my side of the table far in the back faced a wall & a soda machine?? the rest of the diners were behind me? The service was somewhat slow---the salad was tasty & my broiled seafood platter was adequate & a little bland tasting. others had the seafood paella which appeared huge but was mostly a huge bowl of rice & those diners gave it a 6 or 7 for taste & content. The rest of the party had the Roumanian steak dinner which they rated a 5 out of 10. Having asked for well done they had to send it back as it came out medium-rare the first time? I expected more, especially reading some reviews. The prices were not cheap & we walked away feeling just eeh! Probably won't be making a trip there again anytime soon!

Our first visit to this restaurant. PROS: Excellent paella; very good filet mignon; tasty sangria; good ambiance and clean environment; pleasant (if a tad slow) staff.CONS; Terrible fried calamari. Not a safe looking neighborhood (wouldn't want to walk it a night). Will try it again for another lunch.

Casual dining in a intimate setting
The restaurant has an elegant but cozy feel, perfect for couples. I was part of a group of nine. There were very few customers so there was virtually no wait. I had reviewed the menu in advance and had decided on ordering crab cakes. The waitress asked what I wanted in terms of a soup or salad and a side. I declined. I just didn't want all that food. Just the crab cakes. She said I could take the sides home if I liked, they are included. I expected to be able to order my meal how I wanted, but when I saw she wouldn't bulge and was going to make me pay $16.95 for a crab cake platter I didn't want, I opted for the spinach pie appetizer and fries instead. The pie was nicely plated, flaky, okay. A tad short on flavor. The fries was crispy. Four stars for the ambiance, the attentive waitstaff and the food portion sizes. One star less for not accommodating my original order.

Fine dining, no annoying noise level. The service is attentive and knowledgeable about the various French (Tunisian) dishes. The onion soup is the best I ever had. I also recommend Couscous Royal Semolina cooked by steam, served with flank, lamb, chicken, all vegetables in season, and chickpeas seasoned in cumin.Served with merguez which is aTunisian sausage. We also had a fish special which was filet of sole in phyllo dough, which was also very tasty.
