New restaurant. Simple and clean. Located in the center of Venice.Next to the hotel Best Western Monte-Carlo Refine Italian cuisine with fresh products and important wine list.
This was one of the best restaurants I have visited whilst in Venice. I was extremely impressed with how friendly, attentive and efficient the service was here. The food was delicious - one of the best lasagna dishes I have ever had. We also ordered two salad dishes which were of good portion size and very filling. The decor is comfy and modern. We enjoyed our dinner experience so much, we returned the next day for dinner again. The staff remembered our faces, gave us a warm welcome and offered us a free glass of champagne. I would definitely return again.

After 13 years of collaborations with some of the best Michelin star Chefs in Italy and having worked hard at creating a modern but elegant atmosphere as well as paying a lot of attention on the food composition and presentation for our customers to enjoy
My wife found this one online and it turned out to be our favorite dinner restaurant in Venice.Very nice modern atmosphere in a very old part of Venice. The service was perfect, as they took our coats to hang and seated up promptly. The menu was very broad and it seemed there would be something for everyone on it.The wine list was great and the prices very reasonable. The food was cooked to perfection, including the desserts.Even the bread was fresh (something unusual in Italy we found during the 2 week trip that included Florence and Rome, plus wine tasting in Tuscany and a trip to Pompeii). You could easily have a great dinner for 2 for around $60 here; we splurged on a good bottle of Chianti, staters and deserts and still the $140 including a nice tip we paid I felt was a bargain. The waiter was a young pro and I liked we did not get multiple waiters who did not know who ordered what (a very annoying trend even in Michelin star eats).Do not miss this one if you visit Venice.Even better than 5 stars.

We were so looking forward to dinner, and perhaps we just hit a bit of bad timing: but everyone seemed flustered when we arrived, and it took nearly half an hour before we got a drink. We also found ourselves in a slightly soulless room at the back, which seemed only to be occupied by foreigners, with Italians in the jollier bit at the front.Having got that off my chest, the food was spectacularly clever, and the taster menu seemed to be the one to go for. Wine was good, but expensive. The owner came to introduce himself, which was a nice touch.I suspect lunch or dinner outside is the better way to go. Next time.Hello , and thank you for your appreciation about the food:at least and first of all Riviera is a Restaurant and we are really proud about what we propose to our Guests and really happy when they appreciate it.About the price of the wine -as I already wrote too much times on these pages too- , there is a huge difference between âexpensive â and âpriceyâ , and Quality , the Real one, have a price.Anyway our wine list propose about 250 different bottles, each one of a selected quality but with a really wide range of prices, and you chose your one.Only for your information, I was recently criticized by some âcolleaguesâ because I propose some âimportantâ wines at an affordable price, too much affordable, they mean.About the room , the first Guest arriving choose his table: some one prefer one room, some others the other, and the "slightly soulless room at the back", with delicate artworks by Marcello Chiarenza and the light work by Fabrice Kebourg , it's possibly my preferred one , and I take care about any single detail.About the Service no question, you are ab-so-lu-tely unfair. There can be only one reason if a table wait more than 5 (five, not 30) minutes before to have a drink:only if the Guest, just arrived, decide to go immediately at the washroom, and then when he came back his friend go there too, and one after the other will do it , not giving to my Collaborators the chance to approach the table having all the Guests sit down to make a proposal and/or to receive a command.Obviously I understand that, but this is absolutely not our responsibility; 4 Guests on a table doing that, and 15minutes will be gone for sure (but not 30!).You must know that to have the time to receive correctly our Guests we never receive more than 3 or max 4 tables every 1/2hour, you can check it on line:obviously if one table arrive 20 minutes late and another one 15 minutes in advance, and someone walk in at the same time having in the meanwhile another table that is stopped because first he was at the phone with the daughter or with his Associate, then he went to the wc, then he forgot the glasses in the pocket etc etc., it will be a little bit difficult to respect a perfect timing , but I repeat that you can understand that itâs not our will or responsibility , for sure.Did you ever think about it?Never before?!Neither when you âquicklyâ answered to one message leaving the washroom?I see.Our process is clear and precise:â we receive the Guest and propose a table taking care about coat, bags , etc.â we propose and bring them the preferred mineral water, still, sparkling, or bothâ we serve the water and we ask for a drink .(We donât propose a drink only to the Guests walking in without a reservation: maybe they arrived by hazard and I donât want that anybody can have the sensation that we force him to drink=spend money). So if the Guests donât start the âwc/phone/picture/one more/washroom/phone call/I forgot my shoes WorldTourâ , in 5 minutes maximum everything it will be done and Iâll be at the table to welcome the them one more time and to introduce myself, our Carte, and the Wine List.Otherwise Iâll be at their table only just a while before the advertising break, but only if Iâll be lucky. And as you wrote I was at your table to welcome you and for sure to enquire about your satisfaction at least 2 times but...you didnât say anything to me about your drinks...so ?!Maybe you were sending a last sms from the wc at that moment?Maybe not, but for sure you are unfairGP Cremonini

Ristorante Ai Mercanti in the heart of Venice between the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco is an upmarket, romantic restaurant in very cool style that enjoys a high-flying gastronomic reputation. The vaulted dining room is decorated in sophisticated ter
A lovely restaurant that is very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel very welcome. We dined outside and the atmosphere, food and wine was exceptional - we spent just over 3 hours here watching the world go by never once felt pressured to leave (probably due to the amount of wine we were drinking :-0).We shared a mixed meat platter for starters, both had seafoff pasta for mains and I devoured a tiramisu - Recommend all of these dishes.Well worth a visit

What constitutes a good restaurant is a matter of taste but even so, I was surprised that this establishment is recommended in the usual books. Itâs not the clinical and (too) brightly lit room, or the sound bouncing off the walls, or the pretentious little leather handbag stands, or the unnecessarily long (and heavy) wine list and the amateur sommelier dramatics, or the irritating music from an oversized sound system (meant I think to be progressive jazz but was more like music for a lift), or bringing the wrong starter and forgetting my girlfriendâs main course; it is just that the food was average, small portions (in the name of nouvelle), overpriced and nervous. This is an ersatz restaurant for show offs who donât know better.

Simply perfect. Ate from the main menu, had the cod, ravioli and lamb - all delicious. Service is impeccable. Very attentive. Restaurant is inside a hotel, which is very nice. Perfect for a romantic meal in Venice! Wide selection of wines. Fair prices for the food and experience. Would, would, would recommend! Dear ksanford21, Reviews like yours make our day, thank you very much. We're pleased to see the menu appreciated so much, as well as the wines, the romantic atmosphere, the service and the whole culinary experience. Can't wait to welcome you back in the future, Best Regards, Dott.sa E. Baroldi, Marketing & Communication, Historical Palaces & Hotels
