We went three days in a row to this place. The beachbeds were very nice with a beautiful view of the sea and beach. They also have showers Ordered lunch two times and it was delicious for a good price. They were very quick with the orders. There is also beer what also really important is :).

Iâm not sure how to put in words the welcome I received when wandering into this beautiful place, on my own. Stepping through the little boutique at the front (selling gorgeous swimwear, unusual trinkets, handmade jewellery etc) you arrive into an oasis of calmEvery waiter, the managers, the owners... I felt we had met somewhere before! Just the right balance of chat and peaceful solitude. I came in the late afternoon for coffee and cookies. As the sun went down, a small fire was started on the beach and the atmosphere was so perfectly chilled. I came back the next morning with a friend, for an early lunch, with an even bigger welcome. Quite simply excellent food, loads of tasty vegan options and also meat too, good coffee and a proper mug of tea!!Itâs a big shame we are leaving for Hiriketiya today (a suggestion from the lady in the shop at the front, thank you again for that!) as I would have been in morning, noon & night again!Thank you so much for making me feel so relaxed and welcome. Iâll share the pile of business cards, I promise! ;-) Zoe

Hi, we are two tourists who have eaten every day in the restaurant and have been friendly with the waiters. The waiters have tried every day to flirt with us and have been very degradable. As we have not given them what they wanted when we were resting in the sand on the beach they have started to play ball over our assaulting you, even though we have asked them to stop. It has been very unpleasant. This is the boy who has attacked usThank you! I am sorry to hear about your experience. Our staff is very friendly, yes indeed, and i am sorry if you felt uncomfortable about some situations. Regarding the ball - only last one week our staff is getting more flexibility on free time, as we are going into low season, and just because boys want to have fun and play some cricket at the beach, you cannot judge that, as beach donât belong to anyone, and everyone is allowed to play volleyball, cricket, football or any other sport. Plus, they where playing it not even opposite Friends Indeed but Roccos, where is more space. Sorry again about your experience, we will do our best to improve ourselves:)

The Upali Surf Cafe is located directly overlooking the main point on Arugam Bay- the views are amazing and you can watch the surfers whilst enjoying your breakfast. The pancakes are insane- I would thoroughly recommend! The staff are super friendly and really lovely! Delicious food. Would highly recommend the seafood kottu! Good fresh bowls too. Best restaurant in arugumbay. High calibre of food and quality. Service impeccable and host was super friendly. The space itself is light and airy but secluded compared to the chaos of the main st. Super central location and great for drinks too.Thank you so much for coming on by and checking out our seafood Kottu! As from last night. Poya day 16th October sadly brilliant Zephyr is also closed. They say they will be back in spring 2017 with fresh energy and new concepts. Now Zephyr is Big in nearby Mirissa.

Walked into Hideaway by chance reading their happy hour blackboard and werenât disappointed! Amazing space with chill outdoor vibes, music, delicious cocktails, speedy service, happy and friendly staff!We ended up having drinks here 3 times over our week stay and had breakfast in the front courtyard twice and it was the best breakfast we had in all of our Arugam stay!!We also finished our stay and attended their pool party which had awesome energy, families and people of all ages, great music and again happy hour drink deals!Go Hideaway you have nailed every aspect of your business!(We did not stay in the accommodation so have no reviews for that but it looked beautiful)

Had the diavola pizza and ecologica pasta. Both were top quality! The pasta was cooked al dente and the pizza was delicious. The only thing that would make it better would be Parmesan cheese for the pasta, but we are in Sri Lanka not Italy and the mozzarella works ok as substitute.100rs extra for take away pizza box

Came for the food, which was mediocre. The vibe is nice, and beer cold. They donât accept credit card, which is unfortunate and disappointing. Iâd only come back for the beer. NOT recommended for vegetarians looking for good food. Had the primavera pizza and vegan burger.
