The Modrijan Homestead Grill is located in the heart of the Park of the Postojna Cave. Open daily from April til September.
Nice simple restaurant for a snack or hot meal. Close to the Postojna caves so great for a hot drink before or after your tour too.

After exploring Pivka Cave on foot in full caving gear, we were hungry! This gostilna or family-style restaurant is located in the tiny village just outside the nearby Predjama Cave Castle, and the tables on the outdoor patio have a picture postcard view. We tried both the cevapcici and the mushrooms with polenta, while our caving guide enjoyed the calamari. Fast service but they don't rush you to leave. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than elsewhere in Slovenia, but keep in mind that this is in Postojna Cave Park, and the slight overcharge for the convenience in a world-famous tourist attraction is nothing like what they charge inside Disneyland! Reasonable for the quality in this location. Allow plenty of time if you're going to stop here because you will want to walk over and go inside Predjama Castle to take the audio tour for at least an hour. Sadly, many package tours only stop for the imposing exterior. Parking area is very small but safe.

Rich self service salad bar and very kind staff served really delicious food. The best veal stake I ate in last few months! And my wife took risotto with mushrooms and prawns- you should try it.

This must of been the best food out we had on our road trip from UK. We had menu of the day which was fantastic + cevapi and lepinja+ fried squid. All really delicious.Set in a nice peaceful location with garden overlooked from restaurant terrace ( perfect for people with kids). Lot of locals eat here. Waiter who served us was great.Price wise it is not cheap but worth every penny Thanks Ob Kaminu

The new restaurant combines the rich tradition of the Karst Region with modernity. Culinary treats on offer include daily menus as well as dishes from the treasury of local home-made cuisine combined with modern culinary trends. Special attention is also
Postojna is small and although there are a few bars, there arenât loads of places to eat. This restaurant looks posh but service is super friendly. We didnât want a huge meal- the warm starters and salad platters are ample, the mins looked enormous. Prices are a little steep but food is fresh and tasty and there are veggie options. The green risotto, mushroom soup or large salad.

We passed this spot going from Postojna caves to Predjama castle. Itâs on a cute piece of property, with a play area for kids outside ( so nice for our kids!). Food was huge, and beer was good. Service was fast, polite. Indoor and outdoor seating available and they did take credit cards. If youâre out that way, weâd recommend a stop.

Avio Pub is located at the recreational airport near Postojna. We offer various types of food (pizzas, salads, steaks, desserts ...). In fine weather, you can watch the planes from our terrace, while sipping a glass of fine wine from our wide selection.
After a bad experience in one of the TripAdvisors best restorants in Postojna we decided to go to Avio Pub.Professional waiters with proper, positive attitude, moderate prices and good food anytime we are there make this a place to go for us, when others fail. They also have good selection for vegetarians. Could be better, but most places nearby have far worst or nonexistent. All we miss are parking places with a shade as we allways travel with dogs.

Pizzeria Minutka is located in center of Postojna city, 15 minutes by walk from Postojna Cave. We serve varied food. We hope you'll stop by and enjoy in your meal.
Our final dinner before departing Slovenia was at Pizzerija Minutka, a small but well decorated restaurant near the center of Postojna. (Postojna is known for the nearby caves, which also are worth a visit.)Minutka offers an array of items on its menu, which makes it is easy to satisfy a wide variety of tastes: Slovene meat selections, salmon, octopus, trout, paninis, salads, pasta, pizzas, and even a childrenâs menu with chicken fingers. It would be difficult for any guest to feel un-catered-to.I ordered the salmon, which was accompanied by couscous, mixed greens, and a mild wasabi sauce. The generous-sized fillet was prepared to perfection, and the accompanying sides complimented the fish well. A fellow guest had ÄevapÄiÄi (a grilled, sausage shaped mixture of lamb and beef, prepared on a grill), and was equally pleased with the 10-or-more finger-sized links.Minutkaâs dining room is relatively small, but it is well decorated with a custom crafted geometric ceiling and fixtures, remiminiscent of Art Deco but decidedly modern.A single waiter managed all the tables without missing a beat. We left well satisfied and pleased with the reception that Slovenia and Minutka offered us. Traveling here, even if from several miles away, is a worthwhile investment for the experience and the superb food.

Our restaurant is located in the Command building in the Park of Military History Pivka. We serve local dishes with a touch of old military food. In the permanent offer we have excellent military pasulj (bean soup), which will remind you of "good old time
We went there after Military museum tour. Originally we were rather sceptical, as restaurants adjacent to tourist attractions are IMHO rather weak and overpriced. But we gave a try. We enjoyed interior army design which included AA gun. Great, fast service, really nice staff. BTW. They immediately brought water for our dog without any request. We ordered local pljeskavica-hamburger in local bun, which was really delicious. Great food, reasonably priced. We would definitely return.
