Reviews on European food in Poros, Attica, Greece. Poros (Greek: Πόρος) is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf, about 58 km (36 mi) (31 nautical miles) south from Piraeus and separated from the Peloponnese by a 200 m (656 ft) wide sea channel, with the town of Galatas on the mainland across the strait. Its surface area is about 31 square kilometres (12 sq mi) and it has 3,780 inhabitants. The ancient name of Poros was Pogon. Like other ports in the Saronic, it is a popular weekend destination for Athenian travellers.

We had a brilliant dinner here. The steaks were charcoal grilled to perfection. The house wine and fried courgette starter were fantastic and all so cheap and to top it off, the sunset was amazing. Restaurant run by a lovely family as well. We donât write many reviews but this is worth mentioning.

We have been there twice in four days. The owners are great, the food is great, right on the beach and you can also try their part of the beach bar and cafe all day long. I will go again for sure

Macaroni & More might be the best place in Poros if you like pasta, wich is their specialty. I visited the restaurant back in May, and again now in july - the food is great, and the staff is Nice.Just take a look at the bruschetta!!

When traveling to Poros, you MUST go to this AMAZING spot! Yachting Cafe is ideally located at the harbor of Poros and offers amazing hospitality, beverages and food. It is my favorite "go-to" to relax, meet people from around the world and have great conversation with the locals. You are always made to feel welcomed and you always want to return. I really cannot say enough about Yachting because there are simply not enough words to describe this very special cafe. They are all about making your experience there just for you. GO! You will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely afternoon enjoying company and cocktails. Waiters were super friendly and fun, and allowed us space to just enjoy the moment.

Nice location and terrace, but a combination of terrible service and tasteless burned food made this the worst restaurant visit during our two weeks at this beautiful island. Waiters with a «nevermind-attitude» and no smile doesnât feel typically Greek-service. When your waitor picks his nose in front of his customers before serving you the food it makes quite an impressionSo many other places to go

Iâve been coming to Poros for many years now and going to different restaurants. Spiliada is the most consistent of all of them - or actually itâs the one that keeps getting better and better and really never drops the ball. The food here is always consistently good, fresh, authentic - and original. No one does what they do on this island, the meze plates are wonderful! Whether youâre in mood for a small snack with some ouzo or light meal with some wine or even a proper bellyful of food - you can have it all, all with good prices and lovingly prepared by Tzeni, the owner. This is the place where many locals go, a REAL family restaurant, authentic, sincere and simple. Greece at its very best.

The fish tavern "Prima Sera" is located in Punda, the most beautiful area of the beach, which has kept as much as possible its traditional elements, whether they are houses, fishing boats or sailboats. The tavern is a combination of classic and modern wit
