The food at Antico is delicious and of the highest standard; from the homemade pasta, pizza and parmigiana to the gelato everything is great! The atmosphere is relaxed and service top rate. Highly recommended!

Weâve been loads now, real regular for us. The service is quick and the food is authentic tapas style, coming out just perfectly timed. Real gem in the town but is not very busy

It isn't quite the "authentic Italian" that the review in the Financial Times suggested, but it wipes the floor with most high street Italian restaurants. Following the FT's advice, we had the meatballs polpette. Excellent. The risotto funghi was also better than most. A good Primitivo, better than many. (Nice with the meat balls.) Pity it was down to small bottles of Prosecco rather than something a bit different. Italians have a much better choice of sparkling wines that we see in the UK. And don't even think of asking for Prosecco in Bologna.Excellent seafood pasta, with no attempt to sprinkle parmesan on top. (A crime against cooking that they did try in another Italian restaurant in London recently.) This is the sort of place that you'd love to have round the corner. Good service and a silly price. I mean <£90 for so much good food and wine? We paid twice that the next day for a decidedly average meal.Just one problem, the taxi driver had a problem finding the place. It hardly stands out in the dark.

You don't expect to find fine dining in a little village like this but it is there! Good choice on the menu, the usual suspects and something different too. Great service, reasonably priced for what you get. We will be going again.

A modern European bistro with an intimate atmosphere and friendly staff. We source local game, seafood and vegetables for our seasonal and changing menu. Tuesdays to Sundays all-time classics are served up alongside delicious daily specials. Lunchtime and
I'd previously been for their amazing lunchtime deal and ended up dining as a part of restaurant week (we got an bargain and once of the best RW I've ever attended with value for money). The food and service were both absolutely outstanding, very friendly hosts who actually seem to care and take pride in where they work. It just gave us the want and need to return more. Itâs only a small place, so I would make sure you book a table, however you donât feel like youâre sitting on top of each other. With a lovely wine menu, we picked a nice bottle of red to go along with the amazing venison main dish, the added bon bon being a lovely touch and the truffle mash was outstanding, fully packed with flavour. I lovely the geordie play on words for pudding!I think this place is an absolute gem in Jesmond, with amazing sourced produce at a reasonable price, I cannot wait to return.

Had a lovely lunch for two. Mrs has vine leaves followed by meat balls from set menu. I had Saslik and no starter. The Saslik was really tasty. Very tender good quality meat perfectly cooked. All the food was lovely. Washed down with Efes beer. Service was friendly but unobtrusive. Nice decor and reasonable prices. I suspect we will return soon for dinner.

Fratello's Italian restaurants are located at Jesmond, Newcastle Airport & Scotch Corner J1/A66 near Richmond. We serve freshly prepared authentic Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The Newcastle Airport restaurant is bright, modern design and extremely
Ate here with friends...staff friendly and modern venue. Reasonally good menu with normal italian choices. Nothing particularly special. I had a pizza which was thin crust but not quite crispy. A little bit soft and doughy. All of my friends enjoyed their meals but decided it whilst good was not outstanding. Typical airport restaurant when there is not a lot of choice with walking distance of our hotel.
