Stopping in the little town of locmine with its church with ultra modern extension and red british phone box in the square we were in need of lunch. There are 2 places in the tiny square and we parked quite near the other place. The owner scowled at me - probably saw the number plate and we promptly went to the other place - the Churrasco - which was rammed with locals having lunch. This is what I like about france - eating with french working people who only frequent a place if it is good food and this was. A lovelly salad paysanne for me a sald nordique for my wife, a couple of coffesa and excellent service. The place was full when we arrived and empty an hour later and i bet it is like that every day.

About three blocks walk North of the large free parking lot in old town of Pontivy.Restaurant is very modern in an old building, quiet location, good pizza and adequate mussels. Service was very quick and pleasant. Enjoy the old city and have lunch here.

We visited Locmine on business and with a couple of hours to spare until the office opened, we decided to have lunch and found this little gem tucked away just off the main street, It was market day and the restaurant was busy, we had not booked but were offered a warm welcome and a lovely table. We selected the Plat de Jour, all three courses. The meal was excellent value, the food well cooked and so very beautifully presented. The desert was a plate of art - WOW!! Clean restaurant, Nicely appointed, Good Food, Brilliant service and a warm welcome.. what more could we ask for? We shall certainly visit again. Would not hesitate to eat at lunch or in the evening in this.

I have been going to the Tavaillon since it opened probably 3 or 4 times a year. I have a couple of gites in a town nearby and the Tavaillon is one of only three restaurants in the vicinity that I recommend to my guests out of a possible 37 within a 30km radius- Why, quite simple; it's main theme for the menus are from the 'Savoie' region of France which makes it massively more interesting than the average restaurant in Brittany. Therefore try the 'raclettes, fondues and 'Brazzerade' with all the beautiful melted mountain cheeses. The restaurant is small and intimate, you are not treated like 'pound notes with legs' and the welcome is warm and genuine. The owners provide the chef, front of house and main waitress services and the bill will not make your eyes water. In the 4 years we have been going the menu has changed a little but the delicious 'Savoie' staples remain. Try the pork cheeks braised in cider, you will not regret it.

We enjoyed a lovely few hours in Pontivy and found this little cafe. We chose it because it just looked so French. It is lovely inside lots of people. We had Irish coffee and two pastries, delicious. Recommended. They also do food, quiche, beef bourginon etc.

This is my second visit and I'm sure it won't be the last ! The excellent home cooked food is served in convivial surroundings by the owner who makes you feel like he's known you for years! The set lunch menu is superb value so be sure to arrive early. Au Rendez-Vous des Pecheurs is worth going out of your way to visit for sure.

Facing the river in Pontivy, La Pommeraie served two of us the two best (different) meals we enjoyed in five weeks in France. The entrée + plat + dessert was priced at only 20â¬. The service was efficient, very friendly, and patient with our imperfect French.

Monday lunch service and food was excellent. Menus de hour was better than adequate and the staff were very considerate to check whether my wife had intended to order "brains". Starters were very good and portions not stunted. Proper napkins. How do they do it for the price?

Really enjoyed our meal here. Itâs described as a gastro pub but itâs much better than that. I had moules followed by a coffee dessert and my husband had duck in bernaise sauce followed by Crewe brûlée. It was so fresh and absolutely delicious. They are beyond pub grub but not totally fine dining, a mixture of all sorts and something for everyone. Well worth a visit.

Friendly staff happy to accommodate 4 adults and a baby. Seated in terrace outside which was very pleasant. Baby enjoyed his fish and rice, and the adults their tomato and feta salad followed by fillet of pork. Crime brûlée rounded off a very pleasant lunch. Hello,Thank you very much for your compliments, We are pleasedSee you soon
