We were looking for somewhere to have a gaufre yesterday and decided to try this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly, one of us ordered a Nutella gaufre and the other ordered a chocolate one. They were both cooked perfectly and were the best we have ever eaten. We will return here to try something else from the menu. The coffee, also was perfect.

Restaurant has lovely views across the bay and we were lucky enough to get a lunch table outdoors. Really nice fresh salads with scallops, salmon, prawns - reasonably priced for what we had. Would have given a five but like similar comments wished the waiting staff carried a smile when serving.

Its not easy to find gluten free food in France so when i spotted that their Menu de Plage was exactly as i would choose i was delighted. Lovely warm chèvre salad, brochette of beef and panacotta to follow .. All 3 were cooked to perfection.. The place was heaving on an October evening and with the outdoor heaters we managed to stay outside. Just lovely .. Thank you

After having a mixed experience with eating out this visit to France, this one restored my faith in French cuisine. Recommended by the proprietor of the B&B we were staying at, the restaurant occupies a lovely position in the delightful resort of Val Andre, next to the Casino. We both ordered the menu - mine was the less expensive at 23 euro comprising excellent soupe de poissons, baked pollock in a lemon sauce (delicious) and any desert on the menu which I declined as I was too full to enjoy. Shame on me!! Hubby had the pricier 42 menu as he wanted the oysters (excellent) and sole (excellent). His menu included the cheese board which we both ended up sharing. Wine excellent and accompanying calvados. Good service. Would highly recommend.

Le Coin de la Rue is situated in the old town centre of Pleneuf, about a mile away from the hustle and bustle on the sea front and can make quite a pleasant change. It's not open every evening, so it's probably best to check beforehand and not just turn up. It is very small, but does have a reasonable amount of choice. The style of service is very relaxed, and the atmosphere is quite intimate which, in both cases, is the way we like it. We both had a three course meal with wine and coffee, the quality was good, and the cost was very reasonable. Certainly, if we are in the area again, we would be happy to make a return visit.

Looking for somewhere to eat other than Erquy we found this restaurant very good food and friendly service English is spoken so can be helpfull with the all French menu, the menu is recommended rather than the a lacarte

We viewed various menus here. There was a lunchtime 22 E which included a glass of wine, which may have been better value. We liked the look of the more expensive menu although water wine and coffee were not included.Starters were good ,oysters very tasty and the more elaborate prawn starter had good flavours. The fish main was good but my partner had chosen duck breast which was a very well done.Maybe as we were english they thought he would not want it pink,we were not asked. I am more inclined to think it was overcooked.Cheese plate was good, whatever happened to the good old cheese trolley?and the cheeses were not explained so it was not possible to eat the strongest last.My dessert was pleasant and the coffee was fine.Staff were friendly but the atmosphere seemed a bit dead. The view overlooking the sea was lovely.Sadly an underwhelming experience.

Went on Saturday night, without having reservation. By chance they had had a cancellation and so we took it. Was a little unsure as I wanted a 'genuine' french cuisine experience and this looked a little middle of the road. How wrong i was...The food was absolutely delicicious, every single course was top-knotch, from teh crab starter, right through to the chocolate/creme brulee dessert.Would definitely go back...

Let me start by saying that the service was excellent. The waitress was extremely helpful and quite pleasant. The ambiance is very white and extremely well lit little (way too bright for my taste, it really detracts from the potential intimacy that a small restaurant can possess... a bit too sterile). As for the food my meat was overcooked but still good and the potatoes delicious. My wife's fish was way too salty for her but my Grandmother loved it... so it probably depends on personal taste. It was pleasant but I wouldn't go back.

Such a warm welcome and a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was faultless and very well priced, the wine very good and the lovely staff were attentive and jovial. There are new owners to this very smart, tidy restaurant and they deserve every success. It is well worth walking away from the noisy seafront, a 'must' for visitors to Pleneuf, we were in Pleneuf for 4 nights and having enjoyed this lovely place went back for 3!
