The exterior of the restaurant shows a cozy Italian place, what it really is inside. Went with my wife. We ordered a good Petropolitan beer and had a lasagna with fungi mushrooms. Good food and nice place. Just a bit expensive (around 50 reais each plate).

The ambiance is perfect, soft adequate lighting, nice music that allows you to hold a conversation undisturbed, good acoustics, the restaurant is not noisy in spite of being full, including some large tables, and the food is absolutely delicious. The service is excellent but almost invisible, good wine list, I highly reccomend it. A bit on the expensive side, but worth every penny.

I went in this restaurant during brazilian valantine`s day, which every place is crowded and service is compromised. But this restaurant surprised me, I really had an amazing experience. Indeed, chef Barão knows what he does. But for me the desert was something that I will never forget... himself prepared a guava fondue with basil touch which we dove the Brie Cheese... simply marvelous... This is a must go place if you are in Itaipava.

We arrived hungry. Lovely colonial restaurant with open windows and hand painted walls. Food had lovely presentation and attractive options. We both had a ceasar salad then filet mignon with most most delicious risotto I have ever eaten followed by caramelised banana and chocolate ice cream. Wine was also well priced . Do go here. It's got charm, good service and good food. It's also next to the cathedral,Liberty Square,Santos Dumont house and round the corner from the Crystal Palace. So much better than a lunch at Bohemia Brewery.

On approach to the establishment there was a perfectly dressed gentleman for direction on parking procedures. He was very polite and seemed to have a smile permanently attached to his face. :D I was attending a birthday party for 32 people and was welcomed at entrance with a choice of introductory drinks.Traditional decor throughout. The restaurant had an outstanding collection of global wines on offer for purchase by glass and by the bottle in it's separate wine bureau. Thoroughly pleased to see the owner of this outstanding restaurant doing just as much manual labour as the next employee. Had a Brilliant evening with perfectly cooked food and encountered levels of service that many restaurants could learn something from. Perhaps some quiet music playing throughout the restaurant could add to a perfectly pleasant evening out with friends, family, business colleugues or couples.

Nice place in Itaipava.Small, comfortable, with a wine cellar with well-priced options.Limited menu, well-balanced, with attractive options.The starters were good and well presented.The main courses, varied and tasty.Service was friendly, but weeks days in Itaipava are always a challenge. Large groups may cause long waiting times. Nevertheless, it wasnât as bad as expected.
