Exactly as it advertises - peaceful, spacious restaurant set in a garden overlooking a lake. On arrival we were given colourful parasols to protect us from the sun as we walked across a bamboo bridge. A wonderfully warm welcome. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty with a wide variety of offerings.
Local restaurant where you can get your lunch, dinner and late night drinks! We are the first place selling the craft beer in town! The craft beer name "Burbrit" has now 9 different flavors including the newest one Red Dragon which has recently got the pr
I know Bagan doesnât have much of a night life. Once you finished your day activities you go back to your hotel and call the night. Thatâs not the case here any more. I got to visit Taste of Myanmar during their opening weeks and I was not disappointed. Variety of food choices available, from authentic ethnic food to western food choices. Of course I am in Burma, why not eat just authentic Burmese? I remember having bunch of curries and some salad, Poneyegyi, those are the bomb. Freshly cooked food and paired with different type of craft beers, I was in heaven. I saw Myanmar beers everywhere in Myanmar, but this is locally brewed craft beers in small batch. Every country I go, I usually go for local beers and this is one of a few I really enjoy. Location is also great, highly visible and accessible near Nyaung-U. Easy commute from nearby hotels. We went back again another day for breakfast, the shop was busy with local tour group going to Chin mountains but the servers quickly accommodate us and get our food in no time. Bagan trip wonât be completed unless you get here at Taste of Myanmar. I hope I can go back there soon.

The male staff is the great plus in this place, friendly attentive and chatting with the customers. The Italian style food is average, In most cases, only the name can be inferred from the Italian character of the food.

We ordered some pumpkin ravioli and a mushroom pizza. The pizza was like a big soft wet cracker with no flavour at all, and a very small portion, with hardly any cheese, sauce or mushrooms. My ravioli was very sloppy and so flavourless that I had to empty half the salt shaker onto it. We also had a caprese salad which is literally just chopped tomatoes and imitation mozzarella and some basil.. not that amazing. Definitely don't go here for the western food!

Good food in a very nice garden setting. Nothing special about the food but if you're looking for somewhere a little more romantic or special it is a lovely place to sit and enjoy. The homemade ice cream for dessert is also very good and was probably the food highlight! Staff are helpful and friendly

Ate here before flying off. We were the first customers of the day and something had already sold out apparently (all you can do is laugh)Pizza was properly cooked, but not overly tasty or amazing in any way.Just did the job after a few days of eating local food when you need a break. Not cheap though by Myanmar prices

Itâs hard to rate places like this. We ordered western dishes, and although they were the best Iâve tried in Myanmar, they still donât come close to an average restaurant back home. Lemonades were delicious. Take into account youâre paying two to three times the amount of the average restaurant in Bagan.Oh and the atmosphere was amazing. Beautifully decorated in a modern Myanmese style. We were there for lunch, and I imagine itâs amazing at nighttime.

Honestly this is the best service I have had anywhere in the world! Very proffesional and attentive waitress, spoke English and Japanese (we had a mixed group of people) and was so concerned with our experience. The food was very nice and well worth the âextraâ money. Totally recommend this place.

Confort Restaurant is a cosy place near to Shwezigon Pagoda. We are open during all the day for welcoming you and serving you different kind of meal.
This place is a small mom and pops restaurant serving several different types of cuisine. We tried a few dishes and were not impressed at all. In fact it made us immediately question how they attained the top restaurant ranking in Bagan at 5 stars nonetheless. It is evidently a farce. The place isn't terrible. The food is "meh". The location is "meh". The people seemed REALLY nice. But we're the type that would rather have the owner hate us and the food be GREAT than to have GREAT people and forgettable food. So no this place IS NOT 5 stars. IT IS NOT the best restaurant in Bagan. It is simply a "greasy spoon" "hole in the wall" with great staff and ok food. Average at best. I suspect somewhere somehow is fibbing in these reviews and for that and (trusting TA blindly) we wasted a meal.
