You might think that you couldn't go wrong by ordering a steak in a steakhouse. Wrong! The rump steak was tough, with little flavour, though just about edible. The baked potato that accompanied it was simply awful - underdone and with a very odd taste. The side salad was a rather pathetic dish with a few bits of lettuce and tomato. All in all, very poor, and I would have sent it back if we had not been part of a large group. One doesn't want to be left eating a replacement on one's own when everyone else has finished. Later, I found out that others in the group were equally unimpressed. The building is excellent by the way. We were there on a Monday night and service was slow with only one waiter working, though we weren't in a hurry and this didn't bother us. In the group's week in Nordhausen, this was one restaurant that we didn't revisit!
