The restaurant officially opened its doors to the public on May of 2000. One good reason why it came to be was simply to share great Italian cooking to everyone. This was the reason why Italia opened a decade ago, without a menu and no plans nor professio
I just love their pizza - Crunchy crust, fresh mozzarella, all the grrat tasting energy packed meat of sausage, ham, and bacon called the godfather pizza. What is to die for is their Farfalle al Fungi in Truffle cream sauce. It is so flavorful, down to the last drop of sauce... I just keep coming back for this pasta. Simply Delicioso!

I have eaten breakfast at many restaurants in Dumaguete; and, as far as I am concerned this IS the go to place for an excellent western breakfast. I had the "Hungry Man Breakfast." Two eggs; two large sausages; a generous serving of bacon; hash browns; baked beans; toasted French bread with a generous portion of butter and jam; and a large mug of brewed coffee (about 2 1/2 cups). I had a second mug of coffee for a very reasonable up charge!

My husband and I live near Dumaguete City and have visited Pasta King at least once a week and many times more often than that. This past May was my birthday. After we finished our meal, I remembered that they give away a dessert on your birthday. I asked for mine from a staff that knows us well. She asked for our ID's and then went to ask about our free dessert. She returned to the table and said that the free dessert only applied to those not on a visitors Visa. WHAT??? You know us, we live here and eat at your restaurant often! Well that did not change their minds. On that day, I said I would not return to this restaurant nor would I encourage others to do so. So disappointed that they do not understand some rules can be broken with the right discretion.Dear Maâam,I am very sorry to hear on what had happen to your birthday last May.I have asked my staff if they can still remember this incident month of May, but no one can recall. We usually have Promos and Discounts, some exampleâ¦One is the âBIRTHDAY DESSERT PROMOâ this supposed to be you want to avail. With this promo any Pasta King Dinners can avail for as long as you Dine in on your birthday. Just let the waitress know that itâs your birthday and present your I.D. with the birth date on it. We are gladly to give a sliced of cake with a candle and sung on your birthday. We always wanted happy memories on your birthday with us.Second is Senior Citizen discount which is mandatory, with ages 60 years old above for Filipinos and Foreigners with permanent resident/visa. You can avail the 20% discount by presenting 1 of any valid I.D., Senior Citizen I.D., Phil. Government I.Dâs with birth date and for Foreigners are need to present permanent Visa, Filipino/Dual Citizen I.Dâs. or Philippine Senior Citizen I.D.Our cashier might thought that you are asking for a senior citizen discount with your Tourist/visitor Visa, this is usually happen to us. Tourist Visa is not valid for discount of Senior Citizen. Our staff can only recall foreign customers asking Senior Discount using I.Dâs of Tourist/Visitor Visa which are not valid to avail the senior discount. This is only my speculation that the cashier and waitress had miscommunication that the tourist I.D. presented was for the âBirthday Promoâ not for the Senior Discount . Itâs a miscommunication between the cashier and the waitress who served you. It was our mistake. I and Pasta King Staff sincerely apologize for our poor understanding and inconvenience that we had caused you. We are very sorry. We hope that we can clear our misunderstanding and we really appreciate if you and your husband can come again. We hope to see you again.Sincerely,Raquel and the Staff

I would definitely recommend their, home made pasta (Carbonara) and chicken curry and the shrimp fried rice. Though service is good mostly for 1 person (Except for the pasta dishes), price is adjusted to that. I sure do hope they would plan on building/fixing a room with A/C, we ate brunch time and though food is great - kids would be more comfortable in it. For adults, I think that one wouldn't matter. The waves and the beach view is good enough.

our guest had fried pork with rice and ate it all. wife had curried chicken and ate half. it was a yellow sauce and i concede a remote curry flavor. i had the special chimichanga with chips and tortilla soup. the chimichanga was about the size of half of a softball and completely soggy. the lettuce was limited and not crispy. i do not know if any of the serving was meat, i could not tell. the corn chips were tough and chewy which is a universal problem in the philippines. if you want crispy chips you have to buy a bag of tostitos at lee plaza. the cheese is also awful, only soft cheese or cheese sauce. they do not know hard cheese here. no chili, no cumin, no cilantrothe iced tea was good and so was the johnny black. the view of the harbor and walkway is good here. traffic is pretty heavy so do not eat outside if the wind is onshore. out tab was 1500 pesos plus tip. service was greatnearly 500 of our bill was two shots of jb. you can eat much better food at nevas at least twice and maybe three times for the same money, but no view there.if you are a tourist fine, if you live here, slit your wrists firsthi john thanks for the comments on our service but let me just a bit explain about the food yes the curry is yellow curry and it says it clear on the menue and the chimichanga was a lunchspecial with soup salad free icetea and main for 270 peso and was with chicken tomatoesalsa and cheesesauce your right but it was american nachocheesesauce if you want hardcheese we have available and your jb was doubleblack thanks but i need also to comment to inform our other guests about facts

Good food , no long waiting for the dishes to be served . Not very expensive also although the special of the day , which as we did not asked for the price before ordering on the first evening and price was not mention on the board at the entrance of the restaurant , seems to have been overpriced compare to the prices of the specials the following days ...but it was good , so ...Thanks for your kind review. We are happy you enjoyed your special and yes the price varies according to the dish served. The staff are always on hand to advise any requests and were are glad you were served promptly.Looking forward to your return and safe travels always.
