Cafe Muna is located at the very heart of Narva, on the 1st floor of the Narva College of Tartu University. You can find us on Raekoja square 2. On a daily basis, we serve a wide variety of dishes from our a la carte menu. You can also enjoy our daily spe
The cafe is in TU Narva collage, which kind of sets the scene, but the place is much more than an avg student café. Firstly the building is probably one of he best new architecture solutions in the city and this also shows in the café. Stopped there during a rainy day and the rain created an impressive fountain in the inner court yard, creating a feeling of natural environment. The décor is rather simple, but still gives a cozy feeling, maybe due to the people who visit there. Those are the ones represent progressive Narva, looking into the future, intellectuals, arty types, mix of younger and older generations and both nations. The food was very good, not gourmand restaurant excellent, but interesting choices and good quality. Tried a soup which was rather price, but also very meaty and a some noodles, which were dominated by ginger(?). For dessert pistachio crème brulee was extremely sweet and did not feel very natural. The best was the black bread that you could just take from a side table, it was homemade, fresh and dark. A place that makes that good bread cannot go much wrong with everything else either. As said already the place is a bit pricey, but during weekdays there are also cheaper daily offers and porridge in the mornings. Iâd definitely visit again when in Narva.PS! They have a client card (50EUR), which gives considerable discount, but youâd still have to be a really frequent visitor to cover it.
The name fully reveals the restaurant's ambiance. The photos of old town of Gungerburg, golden beach and the sea sunset at the arm's lenght create an unique romantic atmosphere. Menue with traditional dishes in a modern baltic interpretation gives you a c
Romantic Garden has a large dining room which seems more adaptable to groups using buffet service. There were few patrons when we had dinner there and the wait staff really had to hustle to coordinate with the distant kitchen. As the sun sets, it shines in your eyes and there are no shades. The menu had many options and was better than the food. For example, I had beef tartar which had an odd consistency and a peculiar flavor. It was scattered with mini flowers. If you diet includes flower arrangements, you may like it. If snap dragons are not what you expect in an appetizer, perhaps not. My wife and I both had fish soup; it was marginally OK. Service was slow, it seemed more from delays in the kitchen rather than a slow server.

The hotel calls the other restaurant "romantic", it did not seem very romantic: very large and plain hall.We tried the pub food, the place seemed nice. However, we were disappointed. Wienerscnitzel was too thick and tasteless, chicken pasta was a little bit better but IT looked short of gray and old. Pumpkin soup was excellent choise with some green additional incredient.Gin and tonic came with two piece of ice ! which melted in a minute and made the drink watery. Elementary mistake in a bar. Bartender please check how to make ordinary drinks!Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that the service disappointed you. The products in our kitchen are always fresh and we monitor the quality.

New family restaurant Gioventu in Liivarand Spa Hotel is a real jewel on all nothern seaside. The concept of establishment implies meetings in a warm family setting, home-like atmosphere and time-proved classical recepies of Italian cuisine by masterchef
We decided to visit this restaurant because of many recommendations by the staff in our nearby spa-hotel. We were expecting to arrive into an Italian restaurant, but as we found our way through the hotel corridors to the entrance of the restaurant, it looked more like a hotel-pub.The "Italian" atmosphere was non-excistent, as the restaurant had no decoration, no details and most of all no music that would resemble Italy in any way.Nonetheless we were still excited to try out their menu.We ordered two different Bruschetta plates for starters. Salmon-shrimp bruschetta smelled very fishy and disgusting, and the taste wasn't much better. Even the basic tomato bruschetta was tasteless and soggy. The Three-Cheese Pizza as a main, was made on top of a frozen pizza-base, and the cheeses that were used were clearly bought from the local store. Our second main was a duck leg, which was unfortunately a canned duck. Sauce next to the duck was a demi-glace base, that was just mixed with red-wine. Almost a spoonful of almost raw sweet potato cubes on the side didn't help much.As a positive side, the service was very pleasant and multi-lingual.

Situated on top floor of Narva-Jõesuu Sanatoorium SPA, it is total surprise - atmosphere is nice and easy yet luxurious at the same time. And the meals, mmm... they are just great as well as stuff working there. Definately worth visiting. Thank you so much Kermo!

We tried this place based on the positive reviews which praised the place for offering basic, but good value for your money food and big portions. I ordered a classic 'homemade pork and potatoes' from the main course menu, expecting a portion of potatoes, pork with perhaps a basic sauce and some mushrooms. I had to double check the menu when the waitress bought two bowls of what I could only appear as thick soup or stew. Not only did this 'main course' consist mostly of oil, the bowl and entire meal was hot enough to burn you ten minutes after being served. Obviously microwaved and thrown together. The food itself was as expected - soggy, bland, tasteless and difficult to eat with either a fork or a spoon. The salad on the side was served in a separate bowl - I suppose they ran out of plates? Nothing special there either, classic supermarket cabbage doused generously with vinegar. Top it off with the empty pack of cigarettes which was strategically placed under my table to stop it shaking and you get one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Would not go again, feel sorry for my money.
