In "downtown" Mora there are not too many great lunch options. An abundance of kebab and pizza but not much else. Oscar's offered a nice lunch buffet for SEK 95 with gratinated fish, chicken, beef, sausages, panncakes, pea soup, drink, coffee, salad and bread. The fish and chicken was quite good.

In a beautiful setting next to Siljan you will find this simple restaurant. My visit here however, was clouded by a rather unhelpful staff and substandard food. When I asked for a baby chair (carrying the baby on my arm), I was told to look for one myself. The menu was okay and the prices fair, but the quality uneven and two members of my party couldn’t finish their plate as their meat was chewy and tasteless.

The restaurant itself it's awesome, the food is what you expect on a lunch buffet it's ok, and the price is super cheap, the lunch buffet is 85sek, and for a swedish standard that's almost free. The also serve dinners on Fridays and Saturdays but it's a menu dinner, not buffet.

Strand Kok & Bar

We were getting quite hungry after checking out lovely Mora. We chose this place mostly because of its prime location down at the lake. There's a big number of tables inside, but the point was sitting outside. And there were some tables left. Very nice with great views. For lunch they offered the buffet. 125sek each, which was quite reasonable. We are usually not the buffet types, but since we were hungry we gave it a shot. And the quality was a really mixed bag. I had some kind of beef curry, which was surprisingly tasty and spicy. A good choice. The some potatoes, which lacked flavour of any kind. The meatballs were average, very average. The fries on the other hand I enjoyed very much. Hot, crispy and very salty (which I like, but might put some off).Soft drinks were free and quite alright. Altogether an ok meal, nothing to write home about, but solid. Still: Would come back only for the location.
