To start out, reservations are essential, and try to make them many weeks in advance. Leclere is a small place and extremely popular. The interior and decor are simple but correct and attractive. The menu is very limited with 2 entries, 2 main and 2 dessert. The food is high quality, not terribly complicated, but well prepared. The staff was friendly and attentive. All in all a very nice experience at a moderate price.

Having read previous reviews of Les Bistronomes and staying nearby we decided to give it a try. Around 6:30pm we were wandering around the plaza hosing this and many more restaurants and the plaza was very quiet with little sign of life. Upon returning at 7:30 the plaza was buzzing and restaurants were open and doing business. We were the second table seated but by the time we finished our meal it was full. Our sole waiter did a magnificent job of looking after all the guests. His English is excellent and he both explained some of the local meals and was able to get a main meal modified to suit some dietary requirements. I opted for the 32euro three course meal while my other half had the bo-bun modified to suit her needs. All food delivered was fresh and first class. I particularly liked the entree of burata and heritage tomatoes with a basil pesto- superb. Wine was available by the bottle or glass and I opted for a local rose by the glass and it was delicious. All up, a great meal, superb service and a lovely night watching the locals out for a stroll.

Not "typically French", but delicious nevertheless. Having said that, I had foie gras to start! My wife's sea bream and my guinea fowl were perhaps more conventional, but delicious. as were the desserts. Service was excellent by a friendly, pleasant lady. and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Cooking. presentation and flavours of the food really good.

Slightly late on a Sunday night scouting around for food and getting cranky with hunger we happened upon Atelier St. Roch and were rewarded with lovely service and some dishes that lodge happily in the memory weeks later. Particularly good were the baked Hake dish and the Fig Tart with honey and Thyme. Don't hesitate.

Had the pleasure to eat at Reve du chef lately. It's a little out of the way but well worth it. Tastefully finished small restaurant with excellent food, all local or organic, all choices catered for (vegetarian, meat lovers.....). Will be back!

With only , what appears to be 10 covers this restaurant is worth a visit, the owner/chef is very passionate and runs the whole show by himself. Extremely polite and friendly and really interesting dishes. Inexpensive too. Not sure we will go back as we feel we have kind of done it , but loved the concept and passion .

His is unique local genuine French restaurant mnged by a Husband and Wife team. The food was outstanding even though the choices are limited. The Frogs Legs were delicious as we're all the plates we chose, I particularly enjoyed my veal. It was a special food experience that we will highly recommend to all. You need to book to be sure of your seat. This is not a noisey tourist overcrowded loud established but a genuine French experience not to be missed.

Patrice (Frenchman- owner, chef, waiter, chief cook and bottle-washer), is an extraordinary person and his small restaurant (24 seats - be sure to reserve in advance) serves delicious French cuisine, all with a touch of Jack Daniels. The three-course Menu is a bargain - foie gras and lamb shank were outstanding -even the dessert has Jack Daniels. Patrice is quite the fun character - be prepared to relax and have fun.

Stumbled across the restaurant when walking around one evening. Really glad that we did, great food. Set menu which changes weekly, enjoyed a really great bottle of wine too. Chef came out to explain each course, with a unique way to present the dishes. The outside seating area adds to this unique experience. If you are in Montpellier this is well worth a visit one evening.Dear benjg944,Thank you for sharing your Le Lab experience with us here in TripAdvisor! We are pleased to know that you have enjoyed your culinary discovery with us.
