A very good alternative to La Darsena (which wasn't serving food until 2100hrs). Excellent quality food and service.

It was a grey and rainy evening of Autumn. Beginning of low season, monday. From Comillas to Suances, almost eveything closed. We came across the restaurant of Antonio. Small but cozy. And it was a very nice surprise. We order some capresse mozzarella which came with some Fresh small piece of bread just cooked in the Forno. Yum!The pizza was very good, specially if you take in consideration the places around in 20kmWe had a tonno pizza with prawns, tasty and crunchy base. The dessert was for me the most outstanding. Amazing tiramisu, the presentation is not very impressive, and maybe you think is ajust another industrial tiramisu. But is home-made, without egg and very creamy. The mix of flavours has an execellent balance.Service, super, Antonio is very nice guy from Napoles. And price very fair, aprox 10e per person. Pizzas from 5e to 10e.

I was at El Marinero with my family in August. The place is on the beach, so it hasn't a sophisticated atmosphere, but the food is good and the staff is very friendly. They can speak only Spanish, but they try to communicate very hard. I ate Sardine and I recommend it.

Suances has great restaurants, in my humble opinion, the cuisine seafood oriented is recommended for those who love this kind of food; Amita is distinguished by the level of service, theprofessionalism of the staff, the refinement of the food, and the accuracy in the presentation of the dishes, and the quality and quantity of food. To complete the judgment I guarantee that you will pay a fair price and you will go away with great satisfaction.

Perseverance, tenacity, honesty and concern in the kitchen are the cornerstones by which governed the Dock Restaurant , which has allowed them to get the award recently conferred on them as full members of the Club de Calidad de Cantabria Infinita . Direc
Came across this restaurant whilst travelling around on our motorbikes. We stopped for lunch as the place seemed to be buzzing! We were not disappointed. I chose Hake and Clams and my friend Iberian pork. Both dishes were freshly cooked, delivered piping hot to the table and tasted amazing! We washed the food down with a substantial beer (abbey type ale) served cold. To finish though frankly we could have stopped there we had a lovely pudding of creme caramel with ice cream and berries that aside from tasting delicious looked like a picture on a plate. Finally two coffees ended the meal. The staff were great, very friendly, honest and professional. Whilst not necessarily the cheapest around, the high quality of the food and outstanding level of service by far outweighs the cost. I would therefore strongly recommend this restaurant and will return. Thank you La Darsena for making lunch a meal to remember!

Restaurant located in a coast village âSuancesâ in Cantabria, north of Spain. There is in front of the de âConchaâ beach.
Amazing food with some unique flavours and awesome service. Had a wonderful chat with the master chef who spoke to us personally. Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with us. We are glad that your experience has been satisfactory. We hope to see you again!

A little fatigued by deep fried rabas and other creatures of the deep, we gave this nice bar a try. We had some lovely mussels in tomato sauce, great squid grilled with a nice salsa and an interesting bacalhua salad. Finished off with tasty rice pudding and cinnamon ice cream. Good value and friendly service.

It is a surprising place! Out in the middle of the country, not far from Santander, this place offers excellent paellas and quite a good service. The choice of wines is good and the value for money is average. If you are looking for a good place to eat paella in Cantabria, this is it!

Adjusted one of their specials to suit vegetarians. Enjoyed a dish of scrambled eggs with caremelised onions and mushrooms.

I have been a fan of El Nuevo Molino for many years and have enjoyed many wonderful dinners there. However, our last meal there surpassed any previous ones. The chef has managed to devise a completely new menu, full of surprises, whilst still using local ingredients and quirky adaptations of regional specialities. There are wonderful inventions, such as razor clams in chickpea stew broth, sea urchin infused fried egg...so many new items, that we decided to try the "long and lean" tasting menu. It was all absolutely fantastic and demonstrated the artistry and imagination of the chef. The traditional items are still offered, and other tables were mixing and matching new and old.As usual, service was perfect - professional and yet very welcoming at the same time and on a unseasonable chilly evening, it was wonderful to sit next to a log fire! Now we have tried all the new dishes, I would certainly recommend all of them, but I also suggest not to ignore the local beef carpaccio, fried squid and cheese ice cream from the traditional menu. The fish main courses are always sublime, only the freshest fish is used and cooked absolutely perfectly. To summarise; this is my idea of a perfect restaurant: beautiful building, wonderful staff, amazing food and one of the best priced Michelin starred restaurant that I have visited.
