A really mixed bag and I dont know how to properly review this place. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Cape Town, food wise, and I was so much looking forward to eat there again and to share this wonderful restaurant with my mother. In terms of food,I was not dissapointed at all, quite the opposite, But in terms of service, I guess I have to say that this is one of the worst experiences in 12 years and many trips to south africa. No matter where, and no matter in what kind of price category, I have never experienced this kind of "service". Arrogant, uncaring, unsmiling, and overall just really distroying the whole experience for us there. Quite a shame really,

With panoramic views of Signal Hill, Signal Restaurant provides a welcome setting on the water's edge. The menu is a unique combination of flavours incorporating influences from the many cultures that called upon this region in days gone by. The aged yell
The restaurant is within the Cape Grace Hotel- an experience in itself- very beautiful and reflects the hotel with its sophistication, service and high quality food. Dinner was quiet- we were almost the only diners on a Monday in autumn/ winter but this did not mean that any corners were cut- service was attentive and food sublime. It gave me the opportunity to eat springbok- a new experience and my wife's chicken was perfect. Deserts were amazing! We both enjoyed the experience immensely and can recommend this restaurant for any special occasion

Hi Thando at La Parada. We had a wonderful introduction to Cape Town on our first day eating in La Parada on the Waterfront in Cape Town one lunchtime. The food here is first class, the lady serving us was called Thando and was so helpful and gave us lots of information on the city and places to visit. We sat and watched the seals playing in the water in the bay. Good luck with your football Thando. best wishes, Margaret and Malcolm, (Middlesbrough supporter)Thank you for this lovely review and message to Thando, Margaret and Malcolm. We will pass on your feedback and wish you a magnificent time in the Mother City further, please do join us again when you are in the area.Benjamin and the La Parada Team

Dash Restaurant & Bar, although it caters for Queen Victoria Hotel guests, is a stand-alone establishment that welcomes patrons from near and far. Extraordinary artworks embellish the walls in a bold fashion. Further, a live pianist sets the tone during d
Excellent food..... I had the risotto and my husband had the sea bass dish- both were very tasty... We split the cheesecake dish for dessert- also delicious. The service was impeccable, as was the piano music and singing in the outer room. We had breakfast there as well... same excellent quality as the dinner. Definitely recommend.Good day We appreciate that you took the time to write this review on your recent experience at Dash restaurant We always strive to exceed our guests expectation and the team in the restaurant are key to this success as they are extreme passionate about creating intimate guest experiences. And we are so pleased to know that you like our new menu items that we offer and that you enjoyed the atmosphere created by the pianist. I will definitely relate this feedback to the chef and the rest of the team we look forward into welcoming you back for another journey at DashMany thanks Mark

Inspired by the owners Portuguese heritage, Sorriso has a European flair that shows through in the food and atmosphere. Set in a stunning rustic-industrial space with a private upstairs lounge, Sorriso is perfect for families, remote workers, pets, and ki
We've waited with anticipation to see this deli open in Milnerton. Once you find your way through the cloud of smoke at the entrance you enter what promises to be a pleasant environment. (the smokers area is inconveniently situated along the only entrance of the establishment) The "safe" meals to eat there are the sandwiches and wraps. The Espetada is well presented. The beef is garlic-laiden, very chewy (ordered medium rare) and lacked flavour. Pity because the presentation is really good. They have an interesting take on french fries/chips. On our first visit we sent a cracked tea cup back to the kitchen. On the second visit my plate had a large chip. Both these instances are not expected from a new establishment and not acceptable in hospitality industry.Owner/manager is ever present but disconnected from guests. Service is slow considering that there weren't many tables ordering meals.Floors are "sandy" and the rough finish draws more attention to the crumbs, food bits and sand on the surface. The constant presence of flies amidst the winter chill is disturbing. Lovely to have the gas heaters and throws because it's really cold. It's still early days and certainly lots of hope for improvement and hopefully on our next visit to the area we hope to have a good meal.

Join the Social Table for a totally unique dining concept. An eclectic space to eat, drink and be merry with some fabulous company. Table d' Hote style eatery with a set 5 course dinner, paired with boutique wines from around the Western Cape. Perfect for
We were a little nervous about trying this social table concept because weâre not the most social people but we are sooooo glad we decided to give it a try! The atmosphere is super cosy and friendly inside the restaurant. The owner Julia and her sous-chef Melissa are so genuinely friendly and passionate about food that they really made this experience extraordinary for us! Most of their customers are tourists so it allows for meeting people from all around the world and sharing travel experiences. Julia has selected some local wines and then drew up her menu based on the pairing with the wines. The menu features local seasonal vegetables, oysters, king clip, ostrich, beef two ways, and of course a delicious dessert! Every plate was thought out to perfection with lots of flavors that complimented the wines perfectly! All the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced, and we loved tasting high end South African food! We loved when Julia took time to sit at the table with us to join the conversation. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! We loved everything and had the most wonderful and memorable evening! Thank you so much!

Our waitress Andy was delightful and knowledgeabl, the restaurant manager Flo was amazing and charming. The food was world class, we came from Switzerland and especially booked here to experience what we had heard so much about.Beautifully prepared imaginative menu with superb wine pairing. As in all establishments the chef/owner normally appears sometime during the course of the service for a short exchange with his guests, but Matt spent the entire evening talking with his regular customers and ignored the rest, he came past us and looked me straight in the face, I said âgood eveningâ and he turned tis nose up and walked purposefully away!My whole party were shocked and quite disgusted at this extremely rude and arrogant behaviour, and the people we were dining with who have just moved to the Cape have vowed never to return again! What a shame!Matt; you should stay at home or meet your friends elsewhere and leave the people sponsoring your lifestyle to enjoy their meals without suffering your arrogance,Thank you for the splendid review on the food, we are an incredibly passionate bunch, obsessed a bit , who love to get creative with the flavour combinations and wine pairings, and I believe that this love is what you experienced with us. I am pleased that you had such a great experience and that you received great service from Andy and that Flo made you feel welcome. I visit almost every table every night, balance working in the kitchen, the bar supporting my front of house team and tending to my guests- this can be intense sometimes. Sitting with my guests is my favourite part of the enjoyment of doing what I do, and welcoming guests into my home(spun) is at the top of my list. Iâm really sorry that I didnât sit with you. Next time you come I would love to join you, but only if you have a tequila with me

We went here on Saturday the 5th September 2019, there were six in our group. From the moment we got out of the taxi, the place took our breathe away - WOW!The whole vicinity is absolutely stunning. The walk down to the restaurant via with a view into the barrels was a great touch. The food was excellent; every single dish that was presented to us came with its own introduction by a member of staff so we knew exactly what was on our plates. The service was all around was excellent. Our main host for the evening was Christopher, he went above and beyond.Overall, this place is a must visit when you are in Cape Town. I have very fond memories of this place and guarantee you will, too.
