Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Wensleydale Heifer may be within easy reach of the A1 and M6 but it still feels totally rural. A traditional white-washed inn complete with leaded lights and swinging sign, The Wensleydale Heifer gives th
We were staying in Stow House about 6 minutes away and the proprietor there kindly recommended and booked us a table at The Wensleydale Heifer on our first night - it did not disappoint. We were seated in the bar area, which we had to ourselves for most of the night. Dogs are welcome and there were groups of people enjoying the ambient atmosphere in adjoining rooms. There is a wonderful balance of a relaxed and welcoming vibe with Michelin star quality. The serving staff are exceptionally polite and attentive. The highlight for us was the main meal...we highly recommend the slow roast beef, which we both ordered from the daily specials menu, we cleared our plates and savored every mouthful; it went perfectly with my glass of Malbec. The menu is extensive and you will find fish, steak and lobster feature heavily. There is a car park but it is a tight squeeze down the entrance/exit (between the hotel and another building) and I fear very wide or large vehicles would struggle to manoeuvre around it. There is also parking on the road. We would certainly visit again! Enjoy!Thank you so much for taking the time to post your lovely review.I am so pleased that you had a great time and enjoyed all aspects of your stay with us.I am delighted that you enjoyed some of our new seasonal dishes and I have passed your feedback onto the chefs. We all look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Quality food at affordable prices. Food seasoned to perfection by our international chef. Located on the Masham Caravan Park. Surrounded by picturesque national park with lots to visit and to enjoy the relaxing nature. BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY WE ARE OPEN.
Due to the sheep fair being on, we could not get parked to enjoy our usual cafe in Masham for a cheeky Saturday full English treat.Having never been to the Old Station before, we decided to chance it on the way past.Very glad we did as they served the best full English weâve had for a long time. A lovely setting and very friendly and welcoming staff.Weâll certainly return.

This is a country pub in the Yorkshire Dales. It has a couple of rooms in the bar and then again two rooms upstairs for the restaurant.
I have known about this pub for years but never had a meal. We went here tonight via a gift for christmas. I wish now that we had gone before as the food was great.I started with the Baked goat cheese with fig and salad, my good lady had the black pudding stack. Both were really tasty ( we do try each others food ) and portions are of a good size.We then moved on to our main course of Kleftico which was a really good portion of slow cooked lamb with vegtables and potatoes. A really good meal and perfectly cooked. Finished with a couple of Latte.Loved it so much that we booked straight after the meal for another table next month.

Vennell's is a stunning grade II listed building in the heart of Masham an area of outstanding beauty. The food is clean, unfussy and heavily influenced by the area that surrounds it. Local meat and game feature heavily, fish and shellfish from the north
Lovely little place with fantastic food. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. Would definitely call again when next in Masham.
