We found this to be the best restaurant find in Pessac. We choice the menu du sour for 29euros. I had courgette, eggs cooked at low temperature with tiny slivers of beautiful sardine, followed by artichoke purée, wonderful flavoured parsnips and tasty though slightly salty dorade. My partner started with coated pork with Chinese cabbage and ginger, followed by gigot of lamb, couscous with tiny chickpeas and tiny beautifully cooked carrots. Our desserts: mandarins, hot in batter with lemon sorbet and cream, and tiny pieces of Madelines with cream. Wine list was mainly French wines with a few from other countries, also good beers. Great local atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and great easy service. Will definitely go again. Al la carte menu also looked really interesting to try next time.

So, letâs just say, a wonderful restaurant, in all respects. Husband and wife team, both artists, both in love with food, and who love to share their passion. We are the lucky recipients. Only âsurpriseâ menus, perfectly orchestrated to show case seasonal ingredients. Imaginative plating. Small, carefully selected wine list. Every wine has a story. Weâve had several dinners here, from the days they first opened, to now. Each one memorable. The chef continues to grow. We didnât think he could get any better...but he has! This place is such a gem, I had a lovely welcome when entering the restaurant itself (I hadnât booked). Itâs a family run affair and they all seemed to really enjoy it too. Just to pre-warn this isnât a single dish place, you have to order 2-3 course and trust me itâs worth it and itâs not overpriced at all.I went for two courses, a starter and a main (Plus some lovely wine). You have to try the salmon. This is quite a simple review for me but if youâre in Bordeaux make sure you go here for dinner - You will not be disappointed!!All the team is very happy to read those lines ! We chose a small steak evening meal. absolutely delicious, the sauce the steak was cooked in was beautiful, was served simply and rustic. Steak chips and salad was â¬17 euros.Only disappointment was there did not appear to have any local wines on the menu, the restaurant is in a residential area, so would be probably go un-noticed on the map. Was full of locals which is always a good sign. we really enjoyed our meal. great simple flavours at a good price.

Visited Risotto on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The restaurant was recommended to us. We were one of 3 persons dining at the time. We had the stuffed escalope milanese as main course and cà fe gourmand for dessert. And all of them so delicious! Bravo!

We found the food original and good, especially the fish and seafood dishes but it was always served cold or barely lukewarm, as the plates were not warmed before it was served (or maybe they lingered in the kitchen...) Given the price we paid, better service was expected. The wines are just too expensive.

This is the best kind of bistro. We went to this restaurant tonight because the food in our airport hotel did not look appetizing. After 10 days enjoying great food in the Dordogne/Bordeaux region, we just couldn't eat our last meal in France at a chain restaurant. We checked TripAdvisor and found this gem just 1.5 miles away. It is a little place run by the chef and his charming wife. We had a wonderful dinner. The menu choices were simple and varied French dishes, prepared with local, fresh ingredients. All the food was superb. We fly back to the U.S. Tomorrow morning, thinking that it would be worth coming again to Bordeaux, just to eat here. We loved it!Thank you so much, and we hope to see you again!

what a Lovely place!Went there to have lunch yesterday and even tho the weather was so bad, it was totally full of people willing to have its menu. All kind of ages inside, but it is true that there were more aged ones since the place can be expensive depending on what you have.The menu my gf and I had was just great. We had a free hot lil soup and a sushi maki that were very nice. Right after I ordered myself some crispy makis and my gf had an egg and mashroom soup which were SO GOOD. As main dish I took cote de boeuf that was maybe too cooked but that was prob my fault. My mother-in-law had something out of the menu and everything tasted fantastic as well.I recommend it but you gotta know you are not gonna spend less than 35-45 each.

Finding restaurants like this tucked away I a quite neighbourhood of Merignac is what visiting France is all about. The restaurant is family and couple oriented. There's a great welcome when you arrive into surroundings of traditional and modern. We tried the Chef's menu which was 3 courses and an amuse bouche all for â¬35. What a bargain for a. Saturday night. Good wines are available by the glass.The a la carte menu looked very tempting as well but it is tough to beat the Chef's menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
