Located in a fine alpine style building. Excellent service, excellent food but some dishes ridiculously overpriced. Same for the extensive wine list. Hard to find a decent wine at a reasonable price level.I would receommend this restaurant but be prepared to open your wallet !

We queued for about 20 minutes to get a table at this restaurant but it was worth the wait. The staff were on the ball and knew how to keep the queue moving without rushing anyone. Delicious lunch - the tartiflette was superb and the portions very generous. We also came by for coffee later in the holiday - they have a sandwicherie bar where you can get coffee and sandwiches in a more 'to go' style. Service friendly and efficient.Great views from the terrace.

Le Prieure was a welcoming venue for what was a large group - there were 14 of us but it didn't phase them and attending mid-evening rather than early was acceptable to all, My veal t-bone was beautifully cooked and had excellent flavour. The choice of wines was completely satisfactory too, making for a very positive all round experience. I would definitely visit again.

La Table de l'Alpaga The Alpagaâs gastronomic restaurant, which was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 2014, is run by the hotelâs chef, Anthony Bisquerra. Drawing his inspiration from nature, he works with seasonal produce, such as seafood and lak
We stayed at the lovely Alpaga hotel and ate both in the Onyx for a more laid back meal and the Restaurant L'Apaga on our last night. We also had breakfast as we were staying in the hotel. The Onyx was great - very stylish, great service and good menu. The main challenge was with the Restaurant. We were guided through the menu in a very friendly and helpful way but once in the restaurant it felt we were forgotten and it took 40 minutes between main course and dessert. The food was not piping hot. The restaurant manager did apologise but it felt that this came far too late and with the knowledge that we had been forgotten. On all three mornings of our stay we had problems with our breakfast order. On the first morning the eggs were overdone and the crepes were cold, on the second morning we did not get asked for our order and as we wanted to be off skiing did not bother and on the third morning the waitress forgot our order all together. For a 5 star hotel which is a really special destination, this hotel really needs to focus on improving the dining experience as it meant our 5 star stay seem mediocre and 3 stars.Dear guest,We sincerely regret to read that we not exceed your expectations. We are sorry for your impression about our Michelin star restaurant & breakfast, your comment have a great value for improve our service. We hope to have another opportunity to offer you a better experience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.Kind regards, Arnaud Payet - Hotel Manager

We booked a table on the terrace for dinner. The terrace is in the quiet spot (though mind the daytime construction that makes having lunch outside impossible during July 2019).The menu is short, but pretty exciting. The wine list is impressive and we had a great bottle of white from a small producer that is generally difficult to find in the shops. The staffâs English was impeccable and the level of attention that we received was amazing, considering that only 2 people serviced the whole restaurant at that time.Definitely this spot is in Top-3 of Megeve in terms of food for us, and I can recommend it with confidence. NB: book ahead!

New in Megève, we have just bought the restaurant. In the menu you can find home made food, freshness and seasonnal products. The menu changes every two weeks so that you can enjoy even more. Here, we finish the meal with a coffee roasted for us and above
We had dinner with our family of three on a Saturday evening (reservation needed). Starter, main (pot au feu, best ever) and desert were all 5 stars. Probably the best place in Megeve for a casual family dinner, find out yourself, no regrets!

Automne 2019 - Le restaurant est ouvert le week-end du Vendredi Midi au Dimanche Midi. Autumn 2019 - The restaurant is open on week-ends from Friday (Lunch) to Friday (Lunch).
Ate here on our last night and so glad we didnât miss it. Megeve is high end and generally you wonât be disappointed wherever you eat but this restaurant is just divine. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming and the staff are immaculately presented, very classy and they know there stuff. Definitely no complaints with any of the food we all ordered and the wine list is very good. All in all a very classy but relaxed evening

The best âMichelin starâ restaurant. The service was superb with genuine attention to every detail and need. Very highly recommended. Every course was creative and flavorful. I traveled to Megeve especially to visit Emanuel Renautâs restaurant. There is nothing pretentious here - first Mr. Renaut greeted his guests out on the balcony overlooking the mountains that inspire his cooking. Later inside, he surprised us with subtle flavors containing mountain elements - herbs in particular. Even the salad course, with geranium oil made me smile. My favorite herb was the âcrysilusâ ? (Wood sorrel leaves I think) - a citrusy tang that lit up my venison and strawberry dessert. And then there was the Porcini heâd found that morning while hiking. I could smell the mountain on my plate!
