This place is FANTASTIC.Really struggled over the years to find a decent restaurant in Newquay that isnât a go to chain or fish and chips. Found a right gem with this one.Came Tuesday 27th with my wife for the last meal of our holiday and did the 6 tapas dishes, chips and a bottle of wine for £40. What. A. Deal!Wasnât too keen on the wine myself but Iâm not a wine drinker so canât take anything away from my experience for that.Spoke to Toast about my reservation in advance to put my time back 30mins as I wasnât sure Iâd make it on time and they were as good as gold in doing so, and even more so when we ended up getting there 15mins early explained that itâs was perfectly fine to turn up then, but gave us the heads up that food would take longer- which we were fine with and appreciative that they said this and were open with us.The staff from the off were great, the guy behind the bar especially and the 2 girls helping you were also good. Thoughtful and polite, not like the generic staff you get at other restaurants, these guys are a credit to this please and helped make the experience so much better! The food, wow, weâve had tapas in Spain and places all over England however this was hands down the best Iâve had. Couldnât fault anything we had, brought out all together and cooked to perfection. The chips, without doubt the best in Newquay, and Iâd go as far to say some of the best Iâve ever had! It was fantastic, and I literally could have eaten it all over again. This place is top notch as far as Iâm concerned - I wonât hesitate to recommend it, and I hope to pay another visit when Iâm back in a years time!10/10Fabulous review!! Thank you so much

The Olive Tree in St Merryn opens for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30pm). Our food is largely influenced by Mediterranean cuisine and, indeed, anywhere you might find olive trees growing. We focus on making the most of the wonderful fresh produc
An unassuming exterior, simple but smart interior and such tasty food.Great service, very friendly and efficient. My wife had 2 specials , sardines starter and Gurnard mains- both reported to be delicious.I have goats cheese starter and cannelloni mains - very tasty indeed. We got to park right outside.Well worth the 2 miles trip out of Padstow.Man meets mountain Malbec ( wine ) also delicious. Thoroughly recommended!

we arrived approx. 6pm and restaurant was very busy. was slightly disappointed that they had no haddock left. wanted to try the Huge Harry.they had cod and was available in Colassal Colin size or normal. service was very good. would love to try again but this time with the haddock. decent value for money.Little bit confused by this - was it a different restaurant you visited? We are the Harbour Fish and Grill in Newquay, situated on the Harbour. We don't serve Huge Harrys or Colossal Colins but we do offer a lovely selection of fresh fish, seafood, meat and vegetarian options!

Cornish Steak and seafood, serving the finest of steak and seafood with an emphasis on local suppliers.
Ate here twice in a 4 day stay. Limited range menu but what they do they do extremely well and at reasonable prices.Had scallops and crab tagliatelle the first time; Cornish moules and sirloin steak the second time. Tasty cheeseboard to follow on each occasion.Delicious and all three of us heartily approved.Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.Premises very clean, well situated with a nice ambience.Recommended.

A small seafood restaurant, with fantastic views of fistral beach, serving the freshest fish and shellfish, crab and lobster directly from Newquay harbour, with a very reasonably priced menu.
Whilst visiting friends in the area they booked us to The Fish House (they have visited previously) on Thursday 31st and overall we had a most enjoyable evening. To start we had the Grilled Scallops (3) with ginger, garlic, black beans soy and sesame oil £8.95 (excellent) and the Seafood Sharing Board (crab cakes...lovely, two salt and pepper shell on prawns, piquillo peppers stuffed with salt cod...very good, light battered squid with aioli ..disappointed....fresh focaccia...lovely texture but could have done with a little more flavour of garlic and herb) £17.95. For mains my wife had the Whole Plaice £23.00 to which she said was excellent as was our other mains ..Chickpea Stew with grilled hake £18.95 (hake cooked to perfection and lovely flavours in the stew)...Roasted Hake £18.95. To accompany our meal we had a bottle of Verdejo £18.50 and a 250ml glass of Tempranillo £6.50. The service overall was attentive, helpful and friendly especially Tia. There is no service charge. We would certainly visit again when in the area.

We are a small family run Bar serving Spanish Tapas, facing the beach in Porth Nr Newquay. Sorry we do not allow children under 16 as we are a fully licensed bar, adults have to have somewhere to go without children. You can sit & enjoy a glass or bottle
Gorgeous food and friendly staff. Dogs friendly place. No kids. Spanish tapas, all the favourites, great beer, delicious sangria and great atmosphere. Pool table hidden at the back - Iâd never have known if I hadnât been to the loo (Ladies loo has to be seen to be believed! Check out the pebble seat!) Just off the beach but clean, not full of sand. No WiFi. It was a rainy Monday night so only 3 tables full and our food came fairly quickly, all freshly prepared. We ordered another plate of scallops with chorizo as it was so delicious!

He living is easy in The Living Space. Here you can eat, meet and greet, or just lounge on the sofas and gaze at the view. A wide open yet cosy place, anything goes in the Living Space - a bit like the beach it overlooks. The open kitchen serves food that
All round stunning. Design, space, views etc are fabulous. Coffee excellent, really delicious. Food was super, we both had the fish finger sandwiches that came with fries and salad. Childrenâs meal very good (sandwich and crudités). they serve a clotted cream gin and tonic which Iâd highly recommend. Service amazing. Would thoroughly recommend. Dear BecciT, Thank you for your great review and recommendation. Hopefully we'll see you again for another glass of Cornish Clotted Cream gin and tonic!

The style combines Cornish attitude with a classic brasserie, while the food draws on international influences, local inspiration and executive chef Neil Haydock's passion for contemporary American cuisine. Provenance is important and the seasonal two or
Uninspiring menu coupled with slow service and overpriced, mediocre wine. Dined here as part of a full board stay at Watergate Bay Hotel. Food choice uninspiring and below expectations. Although the quality is better than most chain hotels it could be so much better. But it's a captive audience here, especially if you want a drink. In future, we'll probably drive over to Padstow for fine dining for similar money once you factor out the £35+ mediocre wine. Such a shame, a missed opportunity.Dear johnroberts422,Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It's disappointing to read that you didn't enjoy your meal in Zacry's. We always try to source the finest local, seasonal produce which is normally very well received by our guests. I apologise that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. I will be sure to pass your comments along to the team to review and we will hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you back in the future.

Came here for lunch as a birthday treat after following this place's fortunes since its launch, but never getting round to a visit The hosts are superb. A truly good balance of friendliness, and attentiveness without being obsequious or annoyingly over attentive. I was made to feel welcome and special from the start. A lovely window table meant we enjoyed the sight of crashing waves whilst waiting for our food. Delicious food, well presented and thoroughly enjoyed by us. It was made clear that we were welcome to wander around and after we had finished exploring, we curled up in the Retreat and enjoyed a coffee before setting off for home.We didn't have any spa treatments and were only there for an afternoon, but we came away feeling happy and very relaxed. The I am so pleased that you got round to visiting us and enjoyed a Birthday treat here. The views from both the restaurant and the retreat lounge are gorgeous and ever changing from day to day, tide to tide. We hope that you will find the time to experience our spa at some point in the future too! Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review. Lisa B (Deputy House Manager)
