This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants that I have been to.A small restaurant located in the east side of the river just down from the bridge.Started out with the antipasti and was blown away with the number of plates and the quality of food that we had. You must, must, must try the antipasti it is simply amazing. We moved into spaghetti started and amazing ravioli with spinach and mushrooms. By this time we had eaten so much food that we split the main course which was salmon which was cooked to perfection. Of course we had to split the desert and it was a wonderful chocolate mousse that was lite and just the perfect flavor of chocolate. Of course we had wine, the selection was great and the prices are fantastic.

We have eaten at the Zehntkeller several times over the years, but not recently. My memory was of an upscale restaurant with good food. The interior and exterior certainly convey that message. The menu certainly looks upscale too. We wanted a light lunch and selected the Bärlauch soup, a Poulardenbrust and a Filetspitzen. To drink, we had a water and a beer. The restaurant was crowded and service was a bit slow. In the mean time, we watched as other tables were served. At each table, at least one meal came with a silver-looking covered. There seemed to be no reason for which dish got the cover. At our table, the cover was on my wife's chicken. As for the food, the dark bread was excellent, but the white was rather ordinary. The soup was good, but my wife's chicken was rather ordinary, Her potatoes were nicely cooked. My beef was on the tough and over-cooked side and the Spätzle were not good at all.At over 55⬠the meal was substantially overpriced, even considering the silver-clad cover and cloth napkins. I suspect that you can do much better in Iphofen.

We had stayed at this hotel quite a few years ago and the food was then good. So, we tried it again under new management. We hadn't booked and the restaurant was full. Outside there is a "Biergarten" but it was too breezy. After looking at some other locations, we came back and got a free table. The service was very friendly and helpful. The menu suited our taste and we enjoyed two very good, if simple, meals. The price was reasonable and the portions more than adequate. Oh! and the beer and wine wasn't bad either.

The restaurant is crowded during the week-ends. The menu selection is varied. The portions are large and plentiful. The quality of the food is mediocre, often over seasoned.

We had children and even a vegetarian in our party. All only spoke English and no German. The staff went out of their way to give us English menus and to explain the menu. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

First night in Beilgries and this was the only restaurant which was open. The service was very poor. The waiter didn't speak German that well, forgot my wine, then brought the wrong wine and then told me the wine I ordered was out of stock (their supplier Wiengut Meintzinger was next door...). The lamb was overcooked, the 'keftedes' were undercooked, the salad bar was next to the restrooms, and I never had such dry and tasteless gyros. The bill wasn't correct either. Not recommended!

The food is made to order using local Franconian ingredients and traditional recipes. My Zander (Pike Perch fillet) was in a rich mushroom sauce served with noodles and a side salad. It was fantastic. Service was excellent and the owner-magager-chef (Bernd - who speaks English) came to visit. We were smart and made reservations for an early (17:00) Saturday dinner - the restaurant gets very busy later as it is popular with tourists and locals alike.

Four of us had a Sunday Lunch at the crowded Ehrbar Fränkische Weinstube. Duck and Schnitzel are among the specialties. My wife had the boneless 1/4 duck and I the two schnitzels 'Wiener Art. The other couple had a Zander and a Mixed Grill. We also shared tastes of two different soups. Each dish was outstanding. My two schnitzels were thin, tender and juicy. The potato salad and cucumber side was moist and subtly seasoned. My wife's duck had a crispy skin and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The Zander was piled high in a bowl and was also done perfectly. The mixed grill was generous, flavorful and juicy too. All agreed that this was one of the best Gasthaus meals we have eaten. The local wines were of high quality and matched the menu descriptions.I give 5 Point ratings sparingly, but the Ehrbar earned its points on quality alone. The prices were also quite reasonable and the portions were generous. The full house caused the service to be hurried, but we never found the staff to be anything but friendly, courteous, helpful, patient and efficient.

Welcome to one of southern Germany's oldest inns. Our hotel is located in Marktbreit, overlooking the historic market square. The charming town on the river Main is surrounded by steeply winding vineyards that line the valley. The romantic atmosphere of o
Lovely little find in Markbreit. Antiques throughout but modernized conveniences. We had a double room that came with a sitting area and new bathroom facilities. The bathroom was clearly a different space originally but they did a great job integrating it into the current space. We had room 1 and loved it. Parking garage available for a fee but spaces are a bit tight for Americans at times. Delightful, accommodating staff. Nice breakfast. Restaurant available but we just had drinks there.

Set in the centre of Marktbreit - sitting outside you can see the church-tower and one of the oldest hotels in Bayern. Excellent wine card, delicious lunch, good beer. And of course the manager (Ramona) provides both friendly service and recommendations. We didn't have desert but the coffee is really good.
