Enjoyed it so much we went twice for evening meals during our holiday. During these two evenings we had two great pizzas, a calzone and spinach Gnocchi with Gorgonzola. Also a lovely side salad on both occasions. The desserts were also amazing with semi Freddo on both occasions a tiramisu and a choc truffle. The semi-freddo amaretto was the best. Service was brilliant they were there when you needed them but not too much and were very friendly and helpful. The free limoncello at the end of the meal was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend- and do book as it does get busy even in the week. It doesnât look like much from the outside but you donât even notice that once you are in.

Everything came together now. The first time I came here, the service was very bad, but the Spagetti carbonara was excellent, one of the best I ever had. Now after a year, we came back, only because of the carbonara, the service matched the food now, it was not good at all, like the service. It was really a disappointment and we also told the waiter, but he couldnât care less. The problem in those places is, they donât need to be good, because the tourists come anyway. So if you are looking for good food and good service, this is not the place. Dear customer, I am to read your review. I was very impressed and mortified, as the spirit with which my family has been catering for 37 years is not to cheat tourists. Indeed, the standards we have set ourselves are the exact opposite. We have always distinguished ourselves for this towards numerous customers. I am very sorry that his thought has become this. The room told me that he saw you last year, and we were happy to have found you again; like all returning customers. There was no reason why we treated you inappropriately, and I'm sorry you felt this. For pasta, I always buy the same ingredients and from the same suppliers. That said, I find an exaggerated definition of bad restaurant. I find it humiliating and muddied, even though I must necessarily respect it. But apart from my heartfelt answer, I can do nothing to defend the work, the hard work and dedication to this work that my family has been doing for 4 generations. I only asked myself two legitimate questions. Why did you come back to a restaurant where you felt mistreated? Why is he going back to dinner in a filthy restaurant run by a family and a staff of rude people? I have not found answers to these questions, because we probably have different personalities and ways of seeing things. Just wandering around looking for good authentic Italian food - not the tourist menu I have been eating for the last week and luckily I stumbled on PegasoFriendly staff, pleasant atmosphere with the sports bar - excellent food and not expensive only 5 minutes from the waterfront This place is different from the rest and a must visit

Our hotel recommended this as a nearby stop with great food. They were not incorrect. The food was incredible, fresh and tasty. The best gnocchi I have had - which was freshly hand made that day. A nice and inexpensive wine list is available and the food was just top notch. Very quiet and nice place to go. Highly recommended.

Superb location with excellent views overlooking Lake Garda - we sat at an outside table. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive throughout our meal. My main course, tuna, was delicious, however, my scallops starter was a little disappointing as the flavour was a little bland and texture a bit soft for my liking. Presentation was excellent.Atmosphere was really good as the restaurant was busy but also the many people passing along the promenade added to the occasion.I would visit again when next staying in Garda.

We had lunch in the restaurant and really enjoyed the tastes and ambiance of this busy restaurant opposite the bus terminus.We then had dinner later in the week and we both had shell fish ,what an experience.Unfortunately we were coming home the next day or we would have had a return visit.Grazie di cuore.Un saluto e a presto.Ivan

Stumbled across this little jewel of a restaurant while strolling through the back streets of Garda. We certainly werenât disappointed and were warmly greeted with a complimentary glass of aperol as we sat down. We shared a cold cuts and cheese platter which was lovely followed by a fresh tomato basil and red onion pizza which was the best weâve tasted on this trip. This was again followed by a tiny complimentary ice cream.... all perfect and lovely washed down with a litre of wine wine, all less than â¬40

I recently returned from a two-week vacation in the Veneto region, of which the highlight was -- of course -- eating. And I had expected this place to be among the best. The reality was quite the contrary: it was easily the most disappointing culinary experience.The only dish that lived up to the hype was the "buon Ricardo" dish of crepes with local perch filling. These were indeed magnificent, melt-in-your-mouth light and creamy. Another member of our party had spinach risotto with shrimp, which was creatively presented, but not out-of-this world; the shrimp were far from the most succulent I had seen this region.What really disappointed was our main dish of Lake Garda pike. The fish itself was slightly overcooked. The overall dish was extremely bland, with an unidentifiable white sauce; I had guessed it might be hollandaise, but it had none of the tang of hollandaise. Additionally, the waitstaff did not get our order right; they brought the risotto first, then two plates of the Lake Garda pike. Somehow they missed the fact that another member of our party had ordered the buon Ricardo plate. This isn't an earth-shattering mistake, but this place is trying to present an image of formalistic, "old world" service. What comes across is is a vague sense of decadence and disinterest, in a way a bit reminiscent of the movie THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL.We enjoyed the flourless chocolate truffles given as a complementary dessert, and the pre-dinner glass of spumanti. Overall, however, I'd say Albergo Gardesana is riding on its reputation. (It's hosted celebrities such as Maria Callas, Churchill, and the Kennedys in previous years.) It needs a new chef with an envigorated menu.

We truly enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Andrea, and Lara. They treated my family and I to a great day of learning how to prepare our lunch, and then being able to eat it later. I am not much of a cook, but had a great time. Their restaurant is in a beautiful, quiet location, with scenic views. Chef Andrea also recommended a restaurant back in NJ that he had previously worked as a guest chef a few times recently. Thank you both for a great experience.
