This restaurant recently reopened on the location of the previous Petit Jardin. It is under the management of owner/chef, Marlon who demonstrates both great skill together with an earnest commitment to satisfaction of his clients. My wife and I have very much enjoyed both a Sunday lunch and evening dinner. Access is via a steep narrow stairs which brings you to a choice of either a beautiful external garden patio or cosy internal dining spaces with the kitchen is located centrally. The dishes were of an excellent standard with that extra touch associated with a thoughtful chef. I would have preferred a little more vegetables with my beef dish, however, the meat was cooked exactly as I had asked.I would recommend this as one of the better dining options in Forcalquier.

Excellent food and good prices. Absolutely suggested! It is in the middle of the old town, so good location too!

We were staying at a lovely little hotel in this village and arrive around 4 pm and had a beer at the cafe over the road. We nipped over to see if they had space for 3 to dine that evening and were nicely recieved by the friendly staff who booked us for 8pm. We turned up on time and had a lovely table out on the front veranda. We ordered wine and were brought a lovely little fritatta type nibble. We decided on the 4 course dinner. The waitress was very helpful as we don't have much French. We accidentally ordered 2 carafes of wine but she knew our mistake and only served us one.The dinner was outstanding! The courgette starter was fantastic - beautifully presented and so delicious. I had the tuna for my main and it was incredible. Cooked perfectly with a tasty potato side and vegetables. Then a small plate of cheeses - all delicious and creme brulee for dessert - absolute yum!!Our long, slow delicious dinner was the best we ate in all of France! There is no rush. Each table is only set for you so we enjoyed our 3 hours here. The one waitress dealt with all of the tables with smiling efficiency. This was our one blow-out dinner of our trip. It is a little more expensive than where we would usually eat and more courses than usually managed but the whole leisurely, flavourful experience was fantastic. If you are staying in or around this lovely little village, you must eat here, but you should definiteley book. We were there on a Tuesday and they had to turn away a few groups who hadn't booked.

This was recommended to us so we went on a Saturday night and the restaurant was full. My daughter and I had the vegan burger & fries, both delicious and the chocolate fondant, also delicious and made with chestnut flour. Our friend had the lamb cutlets with sauteed potatoes. Fresh product, vegan and glutenfree.

I do not have a problem when the waitress is busy and then everything takes a bit longer during bustling lunch time. I do however have a problem quite obviously being served as a second class tourist in a bistro that seemed to be mainly visited by local people. The three course "plat du jour" for 15 Euro was allegedly already out at 1 pm. Locals arriving later however had no problem ordering that. We were served a poor salad for nearly the same price. Bread arrived after reminding twice when we were already half way through with the salad. Other tables received their bread upon arrival. The glass of beer needed half an hour and two announcements before it finally arrived at our table. So we did not really feel like ordering coffee or dessert afterwards and rather left.

Les Terraces offers dining areas both interior and exterior. As a vegetarian, not always accommodated in France, the food was presented attractively and the quality was very good too. The waiter was very pleasant and spoke English if required.Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

We do a tradional and creative food, with fresh products, we chose them during the season. The meat is from France, the lamb of the district. We selected our wines "of the moment" We want to cook like this or not ! Five hundred meters from the center of F
This was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying in. I am so glad we took his recommendation. The meal from start to finish was just superb. The staff were so helpful and friendly and there was a nice ambiance inside. If you are visiting Forcalquier, I really suggest you visit. Finish the evening with the selection of deserts with coffee- you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much! I hope to see you again!Sandrine GUAY

Great restaurant with good food, great service and excellent view towards a small lavender field. Fantastic fish dishes and yummy desserts! We stayed at the hotel (which was a disaster - don't stay there) and also had the breakfast in this restaurant. That too was great.

The restaurant inside the smart and luxurious Couvent des Minines hotel has one Michelin star already but on our visit we found the cuisine highly creative and delicious and worthy of a second. The service personnel was very helpful and even brought our car from the car park in the rain. There are a few constraints. Everyone at the table has to have the same menu which might not suit everyone and there is a touch of chichi but we loved it.Dear valuable guest,We are pleased to read your satisfaction about your Experience with us.We really hope to welcome you soonWarm regardsFabien Piacentino

Among the limited restaurant offerings in Mane, this is easily the star. A fantastic restaurant. The mussels apetizer was great, and enough to give a good taste to everybody in a family of four. The highly recommended wood-fired pizza was unavailable, but me and my brother had the hamburger, which was unlike any hamburger I've ever had. The meat was really fresh and super high quality, and the inside of the burger was practically raw and super tender. The sauces for the hamburger were great. It was easily the best hamburger I've ever had. The thai food is O.K., but nothing like the French offerings, so it isn't recommended. We didn't get to try the desert offerings, but I'm sure they're excellant. The wine was great and super good value. The restaurant looked amazing on the inside, and with the wood fire on, it must be absolutely fantastic. The wood-fired pizza was only on the weekends, at least during the off season.
