this "bistro" restaurant is very good- Located in the center of Maia, I'm going there often to eat a Francesinha (local dish from Porto area). Besides this plate, they have a also regular plates for lunch/dinner and the value for maney is very good. Good also for children.there is parking garage/lot around to park your car as very difficult to find next to the restaurant. Very close from the metri station Forum da Maia

I visited this place with family and friends for lunch on a weekday. They have a set menu at ⬠11 including soup + main + desert + water + coffee. There is a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. The food was tasty, the place is clean and well decorated. The menu has several choices of starters, mains and deserts, just in case you want something specific off the set menu. This is a place I will definatelly come back in the future. If you choose to go on the menu, I believe you can have a meal for around ⬠20 to ⬠25.If you find this review helpfull, please vote below.

the restaurnat is very nice and very big. The staff is always running form table to table, that's why probably at the end of the day they are not so enthusiastic. The food is not bad: good meat, good french fries. The location is good, they have a big parking place, and the experience is overall positive!

Traditional sausages also with excelent flavour.Good portuguese wines , And my favourite dark beer with a wonderful taste... It is certainly impossible to drink only one glass.Recommended!!!

Modern space, with delicious Portuguese gastronomy proposals
My go to restaurant in Maia.Always great food, great wine selection, friendly staff. It's not the cheapest place, but you definately get what you paid for. This time I was there with family, including a 2 year old baby, and everything was provided for the kid, they even offered a couple of strawberries for him to have as dessert.Highly recommended.

The O Forno was the first place we dined when arriving in Portugal, and what a fantastic experience it was, the menu was full of choices and the people extremely nice. I wish I'd got the name of the lady that greeted me, she was so every happy to see us, I don't think they get many tourist, it's a true local place, but well worth finding if your a tourist.

We were hanging around the airport waiting for our early morning flight and found this delightful little restaurant. The owner was wonderful and took pleasure in having some Texans visit his place. Lunch was a set menu of three choices; chicken wrapped in bacon, codfish pancakes, and a vegetarian dish that didnât interest us. It came with soup, bread, a rice and tomato dish and drinks for 8.5 Euros apiece. The food was good local fair cooked by his wife and the atmosphere was perfect for our last meal in Portugal.

Restaurante com ambiente elegante, informal e tranquilo. Baseado na comida tradicional Portuguesa, oferece alguns pratos com a assinatura da nossa cozinha. Atendimento pronto, profissional, atento e personalizado.
We were staying in Matosinhos for Primavera Sound. Local 491 was a short distance from our apartment and initially stood out thanks to its diverse menu. We ate there twice -once in the evening (tapas) and once for lunch (I had octopus, the missus had linguine). Both times, the food and service was excellent. Our waiter Garcia was very friendly, explained local dishes & wines and took a genuine interest in every group that came in to eat (locals and tourists) which created a great atmosphere.Local 491 was easily the best place in which we ate during our stay. Just a brilliant, relaxed, all-round eating experience.Recommended dishes: trio of sausages, flaming chorizo, octopusRecommended dessert: Dream Cake!!!If you're in central Porto, Local 491 has a sister restaurant in Ribeira Square.

Pleasent restaurant, family, with personal attention against you. Sympathy, quality, and satisfaction are our credits. Visit us!
We went there for an anniversary dinner and the food was great. As starters we had salads and sausages. For dinner, we had the traditional "francesinha" and the sauce was quite good. The staff is friendly and charming in their own way. Will definitely go back.
