Reviews on European food in Loggos, Ionian Islands, Greece. Longos (Greek: Λόγγος) is a village in the municipal unit of Sympoliteia in the northeastern part of Achaea in the Peloponnese, Greece. The villages Longos and Selianitika (adjacent to the southeast) share a beautiful beach on the Gulf of Corinth which is approximately 1.5 km long. Both villages are among the most popular summer destinations of Achaea. Longos is 2 km east of Kamares, 4 km northwest of Rododafni and 7 km northwest of Aigio. The Greek National Road 8A (Athens - Corinth - Patras) runs southwest of the village.

Visited this lovely restaurant in the square for an evening meal. Shared the starter for 2 despite worrying it was going to be too big - it was perfect and well worth the 30 euros. The pasta seafood mains were also delicious. Left very full and happy. Service was great - even given a little carafe of wine on the house and a delicious little treat to end the meal . Good people watching spot too - watching the big boats & a wedding in the square. Bit more expensive (but not terribly so) and completely worth it!

Small cafe / bar / restaurant on the oceanfront of Gaios, a town located on the island of Paxos in Greece.
Not a place that will attract you from first sight! But .... the politeness and food will make you think twice. Try their steamed mussels, which are wonderful, fresh tuna tagliata amazing, home made pasta tasteful!!! Must Visit !!!! Prices are very good for the high quality of food.

A restaurant within the harbour/bay of Lakka, Paxos
Akis is a wonderful restaurant in a premium spot in Lakka harbour, right next to the sea. It is a magical and peaceful setting, especially if you visit for dinner right before the sunset. The food clearly needs improvement, though. While the menu is extensive and imaginative, however the final outcome is not par to the expectations or the (very) expensive prices. We ordered ceviche and the octopus carpacchio with cous cous and lemon (as starters) and for main dishes we ordered the spaghetti with crab and a grilled octopus day special, which was served with liquid potato and a yoghurt sauce topped with cuttlefish ink. We enjoy creative dining a lot and the above descriptions sounded quite creative! However, the ceviche was very bland and clearly lacked pungency (not too much lime, maybe...), the octopus carpaccio was OK, but the lemon sauce had a bit strange taste which didn't quite match, and the most infidifferent of all was the grilled octopus which was ... simply a small piece of grilled octopus, while the liquid potato was a huge disappointment. The spaghetti was very nice and nicely 'al dente' cooked, but you definitely expect a lot more from a 22-euros dish. For all the above, we paid (2 people) 82 Euros (accompanied with a glass of white wine only), which places the restaurant in the (very) expensive side. While service was very efficient and attentive (and the location, as said before, was great) for this amount of money, one would expect far better quality in the food.

Local, Greek and Mediterranean specialties with a contemporary vision and setting. Fresh seafood and meat dishes, as well as pasta and risotto favourites that rely as much on the culinary art as on freshness and quality of ingredients. Uniquely: wood, gla
So where to go in a place packed with restaurants and the best ingredients swimming in front of your eyes? Let's try this place...oh my god! From anchovies "spatchcocked" then marinated in vinegar and spices, prawns cooked in ouzo (though the description gives the sauce scant justice), tender Calamares and spicy Bourdeto, charming service and a view to die for....the only question is how many times will we return in our remaining twelve days?!

Trattoria di cucina Italiana .. piatti di pesce e specialità di paste fatte in casa .. con bellissimo giardino di fiori allâinterno ... gnocchi home made... lasagne... opzioni vegetariane e vegane. Ottimi prezzi.
We came here last year and it was fantastic! It has obviously changed hands and was the worst meal we have had while touring Greece. The service was ok apart from when the request to adjust a dish was refused. We ordered off the menu exactly and the pasta was undercooked which when we complained was told that is how Italians like it! Well I am sorry but Italians would not eat dried packet penne and if they did they would want it al dente not undercooked. I cannot believe how disappointed we all were it was totally over priced rubbishSarò breve. Antonella

We walked the 5 minutes it takes from our villa.Fabulous place but we felt that they did not care if we were there or not.No meet and greet - could not make out who were staff and who were customers.Tried to interact with bar man to get a drink or guidance but all we got was a stare - too busy being a cocktail maker to help us.Eventually - after 10 minutes - a staff member and I placed an order for a drink. Not going back despite it being 200 mtrs from villa as the indifference is something we donât pay for
Cafe Bar, Brunch & Cocktails At Small square Gaios Paxoi Spendid Coffee and Drinks Excellent Service
All the cakes etc. seem to be freshly homemade, so it's possible that not everything on the menu is actually available. Everything we had was delicious though. The service was excellent too: one of us was looking for a particular vegetarian dish, which wasn't on the menu, but, after offering a few alternatives, they said "well, actually that's not so hard to make - can you wait 1/2 an hour?" (As an aside, the waitress speaks very good english.)Since it's round the corner from the main square, it seems to be less patronized than it deserves.I can particularly recommend the blueberry ice-cream.

Great food, a little pricey, surprised at the modern dining area at the back. Lovely waitress service. On a windy cool night my wife said that it would have been nice to have had some shawls on offer to put around her shoulders as we werenât expecting that the evenings weather inclement. Also for the price that we were paying it would have been nice to have linen napkins rather than paper which just kept blowing away in the wind! It would have been five stars otherwise.Great Quinoa and smoked salmon salad and Tuna tartare starters. In fact the starters were so good, that we would have liked to have had some more for our main courses..
