This is a gem of a cafe/eatery. Itâs the sort of original idea that makes Brittany worth a visit. They cook the food fresh on the bus. Itâs simple fare of tacos, burgers, fries or paninis. Portions are very generous. Sit outside on the school seats, lounge in the open tent, or eat in the bus itself. Thereâs also a bar. We bought tacos and burgers and brought the food over to the equally excellent Caplan & Co over the road, where the kitchen had closed for the afternoon. They let you bring your own food, and you can browse their book selection, enjoy the jazz music or finish it off with a superb cafe. A great combination of premises.

We visited for Friday lunch without a reservation and got a table next to the panorama windows with a superb view of the harbour. I ordered the Euro 29.90 menu with a fish and scallop mousseline with tomato sorbet starter, followed by lamb shank with mashed potatoes, and fondant chocolate with a light sauce for dessert. My wife chose John Dory fish with leeks a la carte, followed by creme brulee. I had a glass of the house red and my wife a glass of the house white. We rounded the meal off with two coffees. Service was very good throughout. All of the food was nicely presented and well cooked, but lacked a little bit of flair. My mousseline was excellent, and the tomato sorbet added an intriguing taste contrast. My lamb was slightly overdone, and the potatoes were bland, as was my wife's fish. Both desserts were excellent. The bill came to Euro 71, which was very fair.

Our Cuisine: The spirit of welcome has permeated the very essence of the Grand Hotel des Bains since its origin. As a family run hotel, we want our guests to feel really at home here. We like the good things in life, and we like to share them with our gue
WE ate here twice. We only wanted to eat here once but had to a second time as the other restaurants in the port were closed on a Monday. Both meals were superb: French cuisine of the highest order with service to match, but not the overly superior style you used to get but professional and friendly and very much in the old-school style. Decent choice on the menu (but seafood didn't feature as highly as it could have done) with dished prepared with flair and style, well cooked using the best produce. Ample space between tables. The set menu was 39 Euros and represented very good value for money considering. Comfortable bar with roaring fire (most of the time in the evening) even in the summer.Dear Captain Picard,Thank you very much for your kind review, and thank you also for sharing it with the world! We are pleased to read you have recognized and enjoyed our fine cuisine, in a good atmosphere. We do have to admit that sometimes we use the fireplace in the summer time. We enjoyed the lunch formule (14 or 20 euro). The fresh oysters were delicious, and the salad would have made a decent meal by itself. The restaurant was busy for early July midweek, and the service was good. The main meals were tasty and substantial, and desert was nice but prepared well in advance.

Creperie ,et Plat Divers Francais
We ordered burgers but they weren't seasoned and had barely any relish. Go when busy as when it's quiet there's no atmosphere at all. Desperately needs a refurbishment and the menu updated. Overall it's tired and could do with being brought out of the 1980s. Stick to the crepes and pizzas.

We had an amazing lunch here on the only wet day of our holiday. The proprietors were very welcoming and accomodating. The food was excellent cooked on an indoor fire/BBQ. Thoroughly recommend.

We believe high quality cuisine is a balance of simplicity, the freshness of the sea, locally produced ingredients that celebrate our pride in the richness Brittany has to offer. The menu changes daily with a choice of entrées, main course and puddings. E
After a long afternoon of sailing, we decided to have an evening out and chose this restaurant. We both had Bretonese fish soup as a starter and tuna steak as a main. Both dishes were warm, well cooked and timely served. Despite this we find the food so lacking of anything extra that we cannot give more than 3 out of 5 points.Thank you for your recent post on Tripadvisor and for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We would like to present you with our most sincere apologies if our service did not meet your expectations and do hope to have the chance to welcome you back to "La Brasserie de La Plage" to restore your faith in the service we provide.Sincerely Yours,

Great little find on the port front. Very welcoming and helpful in choosing our dishes - even made up a sharing starter that wasn't on the menu. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back when next in the area. Keep up the good job!

Restaurant in front of the sea. Many tapas and home made food, bar.Between 4 and 13 â¬. English and spanish spoken
We stumbled upon this place, as there wasn't a lot else open on a miserable wet Wednesday evening in March. In short it was so good we went back the next night and it was even better!Everyone else inside was French, which is always a good sign, and one of the very French things about this place is as you walk in, on the left is the bar, on the right the restaurant, so there's a great buzz and atmosphere that builds up almost imperceptibly throughout the evening.Tapas is the theme, but not the only thing available - we had the Salmon, the Pork and the Serrano ham ones for starters - yum. Then one night Moules Marinieres and chicken curry (in a french restaurant!) and the next night the curry and the burger - which I personally rate every restaurant by, and this was excellent. Some of the quirky but lovable characteristics are the decor, (a bit arte nouveau with a hint of modernism) , and the menus, contained within the pages of hardback french cartoon annuals - genius., and yes the tables are a bit close together but that's a very french thing. The staff were attentive and spoke very good english, and were delightful with our 6 year old, who ate from the childrens menu. When you add in the carafe of Rose (excellent) and the couple of beers, it worked out at 25euros a head - not cheap, but such a wonderful little place - cant wait to go back on a sunny evening and maybe eat outside on the terrace overlooking the beach and harbour.
