Stayed here for a couple of nights when looking for a base to see friends and visit Padstow. Nestled in the rolling hills it really is in a stunning and peaceful location. We ate an excellent dinner on the first night. The food there is some of the best we ate on our entire holiday! There was a lovely buzzing atmosphere too because it was the pub quiz night! Itâs obviously a very popular spot! We were really well looked after at both breakfasts too! You feel properly at home and like nothing is too much bother! We will definitely be back!So glad you enjoyed your stay with us and your food experience. It seems so different to the what shall I call them, lets be kind- the reviewers, who left the review the day after you. Its as if you came to two different venues! The one you came to is the one we are very proud of and happy to have won awards for our food! see you next time you are in Cornwall.

We wanted to go to The Fat Frog. We couldnât find it but decided to eat here as it was dog friendly with nice quirky seating - it seemed nice. There were two waitresses - one seemed warm, the other frosty. Guess which one we got. Menu was selection of paninis, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, things on toast & pies. I had a tuna jacket (the smallest I have ever seen) which came without coleslaw. The other half wanted porridge (odd choice I know). Anyway, when I went to pay I noticed a specials board with lots of things I fancied which I would have preferred. It would have meant spending more money too. It was waitress service and we sat outside of the main building so I didnât know what other options were available. Let down by poor service.
