We stopped here on the way from Lyon to Verdun. It was very refined and the set menu was a good value. Service was first class but the food makes this place very special. Unfortunately, it was raining that day so we could not enjoy the pretty terrace, but we will definitely be back again.

The first time we went to eat there, it was just by chance.Whilst from outside, the terrace looks like any other French restaurant with a terrace, it was nicely decorated inside: modern, airy, nice colours.Unfortunately they had run out of the âdish of the dayâ, but what we ordered was very tasty. The staff was extremely pleasant as well as the male owner. We enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the staff so much that we went back there a few days later. Yet again we were not disappointed.Price wise, it was good value for money.

Situated in a romantic XVIIIth century coaching inn in Chateau Arnoux on the lavender paths between the French Alps and the Mediterranean, La Bonne Etape is a Michelin-starred restaurant serving sumptuous seasonal food. The historical hotel is surrounded
Truly exceptional dining experience. Warmly welcomed, comfortably seated in pleasant surroundings ( no background music- plus point) and promptly given menus to look at when M.Jany Gleize ( head chef/ proprietor) arrived and we were able to discuss menu and the gardens on site from where many herbs, etc are from. Plus roses/ flowers on the tables. The whole meal was truly exceptional. Accompanied by a St.Joseph we had chosen with the sommelier who was charming and professional ( as were all waiting staff). The whole meal flowed through at a perfect pace, correct quantities and offering a true taste of refined Provençal cuisine. We plan to return and stay again in the hotel. If travelling, this really merits a detour.Dear Sir, All the members of my brilliant team and myself thank you for the words you chose to describe your experience with us. We are really delighted and proud to satisfy your expectations and a little more. Thank you for the recommendation âworth a detourâ which is really something for us. I hope we will have soon the pleasure of welcoming you again, as you planned. (menu will change and propose game in season, but Sisteron lamb will still be there same as Lavender honey ice cream in itâs bee hive) Very best regards Jany Gleize Chef de Cuisine, Maître de Maison
