Find out what European restaurants to try in Leh. The Ladakh capital city of Leh lies near the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir, on the crossroads of the historic "Silk Route" from Sinkiang to West Asia and to the plains of India. The humbling monasteries of Shey, Hemis, Alchi, Thikse and Lamayuru will nurture your spiritual needs, and the landscape of Leh provides for a number of adventure activities including mountaineering, white-water rafting and trekking along the Markha Valley.

This is a friendly, comfortable little cafe (formerly Coffee Sutra, if I remember correctly.) The coffee is decent, though not outstanding. It's a nice place to hang out except when the dance classes are going on due to the loud music played over terrible speakers.
Pure vegetarian restaurant. Best for Indian, Chinese ,& European food. People look for pure veg restaurant with good food will definitely be happy to dine in. We hope to serve and create a memorable time.
This is one of the the few pure vegetarian places in Leh. The food is good, but nothing too special. Ambience is rather simple. It's on the first floor overlooking the market, so it's a good place to people watch.

Cafe TBQ is an expansion of the âtasallibaQshâ (TBQ) concept from Gurgaon to Leh. TBQ is our take on what good food is and an exploration of what Indian food is really all about...not based on recipes but rather on the availability of produce and the meth
Cafe TBQ is a Fine Dining restaurant cum a two suite Bed & Breakfast (Chalung House) on an urban farm , irrigated with glacial spring water, walkable distance from the Leh epicentre, The farm has 180 degree views of the stok range of mountains, including Lehâs best view of Stok Kangri. The farm has a resident dzo, three cows, two cats, two petit dogs and dozens of birds, including magpies. For flora, there are a dozen fruiting apple and peach trees. Shivendra is cultivating lentils, spinach, maize, onion and several local salad greens on the farm.We were the first guests at Chalung House, the 2 side mountain view suites are modern yet preserve the culture, ceilings are traditional Ladhakhi made of poplar and willow wood, the bathroom is modern and clean. The rooms are furnished with fair cotton bed spreads and towels, there are solar chargers, double walled thermo flasks for hot water, a carefully curated selection of tea and coffee for ready consumption. There is no fixed menu, you eat whatever and whenever. There is a well trained local staff of four to ensure the resident guests enjoy the best hospitality. Breakfast was simple and very basic âa three organic egg white omelette with yak cheese on toast, accompanied with pork and sautéed in extra virgin olive oil - silken tofu and local spinach. There was a fine selection of teas, including a highly recommended Jasmine tea.Dinner was local rice, flat bread, smoked pork, local ladakhi lentils, flash fried aubergine chips and organic potatoes cubes, different types of local spinach sautéed in organic stone ground mustard oil, accompanied with two saladsâ â whole turnips and assorted greens. We stayed three nights and four days. We plan to go there again in September.

We ordered the big chicken sandwiches. All they could serve was club sized bread with loads of spinach and cucumber along with traces of chicken. Disappointed with the food quality. I visited this restaurant because I received good feedback from most of my friends who have traveled Ladakh.

Bon Appetit is closed for the winter. We hope to see you all mid-May 2018. Thank You
This place is slightly hidden from the main market but maybe that is what makes it so peaceful. The menu is diverse and interesting and the food is yummy. One of the best places in ladakh that we visited. There is ample outside seating that overlooks the beautiful mountains and valley.
