We were pleasantly surprised to find in Lahti an Italian restaurant that is run by Italians and serves genuine Italian food. The locale is quite small with some 20+ seats. Friendly service. Good and affordable lunch (c. 10 â¬). We selected two different types of pastas which were served al dente with rich and tasty sauces. A small starter salad, fresh wheat bread and coffee are included. As a nice extra touch there's dolce available (delicious pannacotta or tiramisu) for 1,50 â¬.

On a business trip I did the boring thing of eating in the hotel restaurant as the rain kept me ftom more extensive restaurant shoppin. My expectation were not set very high, this being the hotel restaurant of just the other chain hotel, but boy, was I surprised. The restaurant, which as the name suggests, has a strong Italian bias. I had a good mozzarella salad for starter and local pike-perch for main. Especially the fish was truly excellent. All this accompanied by a very nice and dry Northern Italian Riesling. I rounded off with a doppio and a small grappa, excellent, too. So did I like the Trattoria? Yes, did! Excellent setvice, too, made it into one ray of sun midst the rain. Was ghe food ok? No, far better! No fine dining, but chef certainly knows what he is doing! Would I come again? Yes, indeed! Was it affordsble? Yes, especially considering the overall quality! Thank You for visiting us.Hope you really will come again!!Indeed!!! THANK YOU.

Mamma Maria Since 1995 Private owner restaurant, cook food on heart. Cook own sauces, use own import Italy, best possible raw material in Finland. Most welcome !!!
Had a pizza for lunch which was inexpensive and not tasty, just salty. Kitchen smells travel all over the restaurant and service was quick but unfriendly.

It was such a nice surprise to find this original restaurant in Lahti during our weekend visit. In fact, we did have dinner twice there! :) All staff is in many ways very talented and you will surely spend there enjoyable moments with excellent food and drinks in a nice atmosphere.

We visited long Saturday night on Lahti's Teerenpeli. There was a DJ playing very entertaining old and new soul and pop music. We had few tasty beers, IPAs. Atmosphere is nice, age varies, both young and mid age people. Some were very drunken, but the security guy was alerted all the time.Really recommend both this city Teerenpeli and on the harbour, too!

Temporarily closed.
Was passing by and decided to go here mainly because I knew there was a museum here. What I didn't realise was that there was a Bar/Restaurant that is affiliated to "Ace Cafe London". Stopped here for a couple of drinks whilst admiring the lakeside view and the car park filled with beautiful bikes. Almost forgot about the museum as I enjoyed myself at the cafe.+ lakeside location+ motorcycles+ museum+ good food and great drinks+ the owner couple are amazing- small kitchen (long wait if its busy)

Very much a meat based main menu but interesting starters including snails which were good. Friendly service and quality meat ensures a pleasant evening here. Maybe a little too much sauce with the steak but you can always leave or mop up with the bread as they do in Spain. Happy to go back anytime.

Excellent food and service, way beyond any other restaurant in this city (except the owners other place, the Roux)! We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner and most certainly will do this again! Also very professional attitude and superior service with food allergy issues. Highly recommendable place!
