We were on a private tour for 12 Americans that included a walking tour of the historic area of Fort-de-France and a visit to Balata Gardens. Having lunch at La Luciole was a great way to finish the tour. They have both a fixed price (25E) menu as well as ala carte. Most of our group did the fixed price. The food was very good and the servings were larger than expected. The only down sides were that the wait staff had limited English proficiency (fortunately we had a multi-lingual guide) and getting the final bill took longer than we expected (in our waitress' defense, the place was full and staff was stretched). However, the setting next to the garden is very nice so it was easy to relax and enjoy the weather and the atmosphere.

Entre Nous is located a bit north of Fort de France. It's a bit hidden, but there is a sign to guide you to their place. Seats and tables are put in the terrace and around the pool outside of a traditional Martinique casa. There are a few big trees and plants that provide shades to your cars and eating areas, an essential part for anyone who live or visit Martinique, because during lunch time, the heat and humidity can be brutal. I made a reservation for noon for 2 on a weekday. When we got there, it was 12:15pm, and the tables were not ready. The server didn't smile, didn't even greet us. He went directly to to ask us to choose whichever table we wanted. I asked if he could give some suggestion of where would be the best table to hide from the heat, and he gave me a look like it was not his job to choose seats for me, and then answer that "only I will know where I like to sit".The menu was simple. I had options to choose from 5 different set menus for 28 euros. The description of the dishes sounded very interesting, but when the food actually arrived, they were not so impressive. I don't eat much, so the portion was fine for me, but for my friend, the portion was too small for him. When I looked around, I saw that others' customer had also small portion, so I guess that's how Entre Nous serves it. The wine list was limited and the rose wine I ordered was not great. I was disappointed with the whole experience, from the food to the decor to the service, which is too bad, because the house could have been a nice place to take friends or clients out for a treat, but after that lunch, I won't be back.Hello, I just wanted to let you know that the Restaurant Entre Nous is now under new ownership. We pride ourselves on offering a quality meal, in a stunning environment for a very reasonable price. Do come back and give us a try. We hope to see you soon at Restaurant Entre Nous!

The decor is really chic here at Plein Soleil. The artwork is fantastic. We rented a bungalow suite with a little private pool, the room was very large and the bathroom was big too. To get to Plein Soleil you have to come down a 20 minute drive through banana fields on a dirt road filled with holes, and no signs. When the taxi was bringing us it was at night and it really was strange to travel to a hotel on a road like that. It was much worse than any country roads or dirt roads in the Caribbean or anywhere else that I've ever seen. There were actually hubcaps in the road from having popped off of someone's car on the rough drive. The hotel is very remote and once you get there you feel totally trapped unless you rent a car. A taxi anywhere will cost you 60 to 100 euro. The wifi in the hotel doesn't really work unless you're in the lobby and even then its spotty. The air-conditioning doesn't really work either. So it can be really uncomfortable warm. The staff is really nice and the food is terrific although there isn't really a menu for dinner its just a choice of fish or beef. That said, the food was super tasty french food (creamy sauces).

I was yesterday (Thursday) night with my partner and the bar woman and the waitress were AWESOME!! I didnât catch her names, but seriously, amazing service. Over the top, caring a lot for our needs. Iâm a college teacher in quality management and hospitality service. She even recommended places to visit in the island! The food was really good too!!So I can say that the quality perceived was a lot over the expectations that I had!! CONGRATULATIONS!

At the west end of Anse l'Etang beach
We ate in this reastaurant the first evening of our stay in Tartane. The location is to die for right on the beach. The food was good and the service unobtrusive and casual. I very much enjoyed the meal but was bothered by the mosquitos as all the seating is in the open air. As a result I was hurrying to finish so that I could get back indoors.
