Lovely food all freshly cooked and very tasty. Excellent value and a good ambiance. John the owner makes you feel very welcome and goes out of his way to make sure you enjoy your meal accommodating any special requests. Couldnât fault the experience and will definitely be returning next year!

Had a great evening sampling various Chinese food selections of dishes. Varied and very tasty and lots of it! Great service and hospitality. Room decorated with Chinese lanterns setting the scene. Called in here for a drink after walking from Levante beach - was very impressed by hospitality and cleanliness. Returned 2 days later for lunchtime meal and intend to go back before our week is over - have seen they are shut Tuesdays.

Read the reviews and thought we would go. Must say we had a really good meal for a set menu at 14 euros. The waiter explained the dishâs in great details which made a choice easy. The food and the service was good. We are returning in January and we will come back here the paella. Please go because this family run restaurant needs to continue to supply simple and quality food at a good price.

What a disgrace that they donât speak proper English at all. We thought we booked a table but when we arrived there was no table. The real sad, un-Michelin type element was they offered no solution, no solace, no service gesture whatsoever. I get it when a reservation goes bad, and it happens sometimes. But they even got mad at us after we suggested they improved their English a bit in order to prevent such mistakes. The food might be great (they say) but their empathy levels are shockingly low. If they wouldâve just offered us a drink and ordered us a cab we wouldâve felt fine but they treated us quite bad. Your reservation was booked for January 12 2019, the reservation was attended by the chef in person who speaks perfectly English. Today you have called to say that you were late, and I do not understand very much English, so I asked please to wait a moment to attend them better in English, since you do not speak either Spanish or French. You passed me the call to a friend of yours who speaks Spanish and confirmed me that you were Mr. Holtonn.When the real Mr. Holtonn shows up at the restaurant, I called you up to three occasions with no answer. Once you were in the restaurant, we were just looking at how to fix it, I asked you to wait, that in less than an hour we would set a table for you to attend tonight, not the one you had reserved for January 12.As they did not want to wait for me to solve the problem of misunderstanding of the reservation, we could not do anything for you to have dinner here today.From number 29 to 12, there is a lot of difference in any language, this Saturday 29 was complete, even with reservations waiting for about ten days, which was very unlikely that you could run the reserve for today 29. We called for the taxi indeed.We deeply regret this misunderstanding.El Xato

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my friend Lizâs 60th Birthday.imagine our surprise when we got in to see a happy 60th banner on the wall beside our table.The staff were wonderful and went way above the call of duty to make sure we had a great time The food was wonderful and presentation was more like what you would get in a 5 star hotel.also the happy Birthday hat and 4 glasses of bubbly was a lovely treat. We will definitely be back and tell all our friends about it .Good to know the beef is Irish as well. We found this little restaurant by accident and were lucky enough to get a table. We both had different risottos and it's best I have ever had outside of Italy. Nice portions, beautifully presented ,we loved it so much we booked to come back our last night. We now wish we had gone another night, in fact we would probably eat there every night as in our opinion it was the best meals of our holiday. It isn't cheap and cheerful ...cheerful absolutely with great service and actually not expensive in quality. We don't have big appetites and usually just have a main course but as we both love arancini decided to share a starter.The lovely chef usually makes 3 as a starter but kindly made us 2 each.SO glad we had this as they were fabulous with gorgeous home made pesto. Perfectly cooked. I am returning in May and are going to be half board at the Canfali hotel where food is excellent BUT I will skip a dinner and eat here one evening. My friend and I will also be returning in November and this will be a must return to for dinner. Having read the excellent reviews previously, we booked weeks in advance of our arrival and were not disappointed. Wonderful food, fabulous hosts! This little restaurant is tucked away in the Old Town, weâd never have found it without google maps. Our only disappointment was we couldnât go again during our stay as they were fully booked each night. We will make sure we are more organised next time we visit Benidorm so we can experience more than just one night here. Communication by email is really speedy too!
