Nice traditional restaurant with very nice And friendly staff and chef. Dishes are good, fresh and large enough, even for big appetite.
After some hours of skiing on the many surrounding tracks is Brennerwirt a perfect place for a traditional Tirol lunch: a warm Gulaschsuppe or a tasty toast with ham and cheese. Half of the space is luckily "no smoking", so you can enjoy a glass of beer there. Will definitely go there again!
I have eaten here twice and have been delighted with my food. The menu changes often, but it always has tasty dishes at mid range prices as well as more special dishes costing more. The couple that run the Schmiedhausl cook and serve everything themselves. It is also easy to see that the food served is also shooed with care by them.

Yes, we were very late when we came to dinner. We were told that we could only get pizza. The waiter was very very unfriendly. He took our order and we had to wait for half an hour. When we got the pizza we noticed that one is missing!!! And the top of the disaster was the waiter shouting that they can not make more. :(Needless to say. Avoid this place
een wat stugge bediening, maar een aanrader, de wandeling brengt je van centrum Kossen, stijgend door een mooi landschap tot hier.lekkere lokale kost tegen een meer dan schappelijke prijs

We came here for lunch with our kid.The place was very empty. The main course - some Tyrolean Knödel - was very fine, but the dessert and the coffee were weak, the dessert tasted like standard cake from the supermarket.Servus vom Lucknerhof.Ich glaube Sie haben da an der Adresse und am Ort etwas verwechselt.Wir sind ein kleines Gasthaus und kein Hotel.Andre Poetsch

Ate here twice while staying in Kössen since the first night the food was so good. Many regional dishes on the menu and there are regular specials, too many to enjoy in just two visits. We sat outside and I recommend it during the summer. Tiroler Pretzel Soup was so good I had it both nights. There are a number of local dished that are served in a pan - I recommend them all. The Käsespätzle in a pan - delicious.

Festsaal was pretty empty when we visited but it really shouldn't be, the food as fantastic! Plus the service was excellent, particularly as we had a baby with us. Seems that mushrooms are a speciality, not a bad thing though, all cooked to perfection!
