Ake Ake means forever forever that is my stance about this outstanding restaurant. For 7 years I've never been disappointed. This is the sort of place that's hard to find these days. It's the reason you dine out. Outstanding service, individual attention, prompt delivery, excellent local wines. Relax by the fire in winter, sit outside on warm summer days. Recommend Fillet steak from heaven good selection of vegetables. The apple and rhubarb tart a perfect dessert. Can't wait till next time.

Nearly two centuries ago, the first grapevines were planted at Kerikeri That was the work of Samuel Marsden, the driving force behind the establishment of Anglican mission stations in New Zealand. Nearly two decades ago, Rod and Cindy MacIvor followed in
We enjoyed our wine tasting before our meal. The wines were all very nice. The menu had excellent choice and the snapper was wonderful but the tuna with pickled vegetables the best I have ever had. The service was excellent and while the prices for food were top end they were worth it. We couldnât fault our lunch and are glad we visited.

10 minutes wait on a beer to change a keg. Advertised $5 happy hour tap beers but poured IPA and charged $12.No sorry to keep you waiting. Duty Manager Brett clearly doesn't enjoy his job.Try the wine bar across the road with craft beers on tap.

Cafe set in a subtropical garden just outside Keri Keri, North Island, New zealand, fabulous place, I spent 3 hours there
The cafe sits amidst greenery. It is cool and serene. You can opt to sit outside under a canopy of green or indoors. The food is excellent, with obviously a lot of effort put in creating an eclectic menu. The essence is in the artful combination of flavours. We ordered a variety of dishes- eggplant gado gado, Thai green prawn curry, lamb sirloin and fish of the day. They were all awesome. And the panacotta was divine. Having had our fill we spent time in their wonderful garden that extends behind the cafe. And then settled for their coffee...again great!! It was one of the best meals we had.
